RE: Fulltiming in a Class C

We full time in a super c after 10 yrs in a 5er. We have seen fulltimers in everything. You can make it work. The main difference you will find is a lot ( a really lot) less storage. If you can get over the lack of storage, you will be ok.

RE: Basement Storage of Super Cs compared to Class As

Have a 17 Verona after 10 yrs in a couple of 5ers. The Verona has less than half the storage of either 5er and I assume class As. Takes a lot of getting used to. We got a bunkhouse model and had renegade put doors on the bunks for storage. That helped but still really tight for storage.

RE: Bike Rack That Won't Interfere with Dinghy

Have a swagman 4 bike rack that attaches to motorhome hitch but does not interfere with tow bar. They have many types. I like the fact that the bikes are on the motorhome and I can use the toad without dragging along the bikes. I forget the exact model I have but seem to remember Traveler.

RE: No Spare tire correct

Think its the way things are going. My 17 super C came without...not offered as an option..... my 2015 dodge toad also bought new without a spare.

RE: Nice parks around Vegas

Agree with Oasis....a bit pricey but has what you want. My only concern would beDec & Jan......quite cold. Next to the south strip, walking distance to outlet mall.

RE: Cell phones in Canada

Its been a few years but we had verizon north america and used it 6 months in canada and 6 months in the usa every year. It was about $60 month for calls and data. Worked slick and never any extra charges. Problem was, we were canadian residents and about 3 years ago verizon dropped us as we did not have a US billing address.

RE: Need the lowdown on Super C's

Have a renegade verona. Some things to consider with a C. A lot less storage than your A. The first 10 ft is engine and drivers compartment. With a driveshaft (like the one you had) storage bins do not pas through to the other side (newmar c is an exception). You are correct about drivability....just like a regular truck...not like an a.

RE: Portable DISH in Canada

Yup. We use dish 12 months/yr with 6 months in Canada. I will say that the further north you go, the worse the reception. Works pretty good in Calgary but not so great in Edmonton for example. PS. Luckyd is will not get locals.

RE: importing a truck

I would imagine importing a truck to Canada is the same as a motorhome. I imported the motorhome in 2017. It was a bit of a hassle. I used an import broker for most of the paperwork but needed to supply them with a bill of sale, clearance docs showing that all recalls had been done ( really hard to obtain) a letter from the manufacturer stating that speedometer read in kph, and that daytime running lights were operational. After the border where you pay the taxes etc you had a short window to get a federal inspection done (cdn tire for $125 and a days time) and then present the vehicle for inspection at the provincial dmv. I saved a few $ buying in the USA but it was a hassle i won’t do again.

RE: Air brakes in Canada?

You need to comply with the regs in the state your rv is registered. If you are ok in washington you are ok in canada.
