RE: Sequential use of small water jugs with pump

Not a problem, you just need 2020 era Programmable Logic Controllers, with a level sensor and electric operated ball valves for each jug; and a supply of plastic tubing. "Relays" you really are dating yourself.

RE: New Travel Trailer

I don't know how anyone here could comment on the price, no one knows anything about the trailer. Would you pay $45K for any Forest River trailer? I wouldn't.Well I'm not in the market for a TT so I wouldn't know what I'd be willing to pay. But a 29-foot Coachmen Catalina (a Forest River Product) has a MSRP of $65,000 so $45,000 might be a great deal. Clicky But once again, we know nothing about the trailer the OP is talking about, so I just don't feel I can speculate about the price. It might be a high end luxury model or a POS - who can say?

RE: New Travel Trailer

I pull a 7600 lbs trailer with a 1/2 ton - many thousands of miles, No problems at all. I don't know how anyone here could comment on the price, no one knows anything about the trailer.

RE: Looking for 5 star RV Park

All you have to do is find some investor that is willing to spend the money to put in all the improvements you “require”, that is also willing to not recoup their costs. Bingo - problem solved. Sounds like a person on a Kobe steak diet with a hamburger budget.

RE: Slide trouble

the answer to your question is yes, there is very likely a manual override. However, what you have to do to manually get the slide in is entirely dependant on what kind of slide mechanism you have; there are several different types. Without more specific information about what type of slide it is, it's impossible to help further. Pictures of the slide mechanism could help.

RE: The cost of a Diesel Truck

I bought my gasser in 2019 and today I could sell it for more than I paid for it. That doesn't mean you'll make money if you buy a gasser; what it means is your comparing apples to oranges. The market has changed in the last year and everything is selling for a gazillion dollars then what it should sell for. Two years from now it could be the total opposite.

RE: Unique situation: What tow vehicle checks all the boxes?

It’s all about reading comprehension Scooby. OP originally said he needed to “tow” 9000lbs. Later post said 9klbs cargo and towing. Nicks right. OP is a little confused on ratings. Good trucking grief! Somebody is accused of ignorance after they clarified what they want to do, and I'm the 1 with reading comprehension issues? I think the OP understands he needs something with a GCVWR of at least 9000 over MT weight, and a GVWR of over 2500 lbs (15% TW) above MT weight. And best if steer axle is not expected to take much of the payload. Now he might need a higher payload, depending on the weight of wife's load, but has not mentioned that I know I understand that's what he needs, is that what stirs up the ankle biter?Ask 100 people on this forum what the words "Tow capacity: Over 9000 pound" when talking about a Tow Vehicle means, and 99 will give you the same general answer; none of the answers will include the acronym GCVWR. Either you're prescient or we're all idiots.

RE: Unique situation: What tow vehicle checks all the boxes?

You don’t understand the ratings. You don’t add people, cargo, etc. to GVWR of the trailer to get the needed “tow rating” for a tow vehicle. You should start by understanding what All the ratings mean, to figure out what you need, to figure out what meets your needs. Clicky for understanding towing ratings

RE: Leak near Valve/Tank Connection

His piping leaks, the level of chit in the tank is immaterial (as is the size of the vent). There is no “pressure vent”. There is only a vent. If his tank was “pressurized”, he would certainly be well aware of that fact every time he flushed the toilet - he would get a rude face wash.

RE: Lowest grades Calgary to Spokane towing trailer

Using google earth you can plot the routes and see the grades for yourself. Then change and modify the route to your hearts content until you are fully satisfied.

RE: Black tank flush overfill

Why do people not leave their black tank valve open when flushing the tank? Valve open, tank won't overfill, why would I want to risk a disaster? Because it's not only the force of the water from the flush to "wash" debris from the sides of the tank, it's the physics involved to use a 1/2 or 3/4 full tank's rush of water to flush all that debris out the hose. I repeat this process several times until I get clear water. The trick, as the op found out, is not to walk away and let it overfill. It's only a disaster if that happens.since I’m not going to be storing drinking water in it, it just doesn’t need to be that clean. I find as needlessly wasting water making your poop holding tank OCD clean, and rude to needlessly hold up everyone in line behind you at the dump station as you refill and refill and refill and refill again until you get clear water. I’ve seen it personally way to many times. A 5 gallon pail of water down the commode right after dumping works just fine for me.

RE: Electrical question

Just for kicks though, I just looked through the logs and I've deleted twelve of your posts. They were all either political or blank. The "blank" ones were the ones you changed to say "deleted". The political ones were no-brainers. Political posts are against the forum rules. I delete them whether I agree with them or not (draw youw own conclusions from that).sorry, must of been the wrong moderator; my sincere apologies!!

There are federal regulations for clearances.maybe you should post a link to them; that would probably be tremendously. Helpful to the OP.
