RE: Wanderlust

Don't overlook tire pressure. Weigh your rig and separate axles and wheels if possible. Then check tire manufacture's chart for proper air pressure based on the weight. It should be the first thing to check. Tire shops will usually put in max tire pressure and that may not be where you want to be.

RE: 12 volt frige

We have a 2020 Coachmen Pursuit xps that has a 12 compressor refrigerator. No propane. Recommend some solar panels. The refrigerator is 12 cubic feet and works very well. We only camped in it once and had to run the generator for AC so I am not sure if the 200 watt solar panels can keep up.

Keystone carbon tongue weight

The specs say over 1700 lbs tongue weight for 13,000 lbs gvwr. Is there a 3/4 ton truck that can carry that weight? My 2500 hd says 1300 lbs max. Does anybody pull this or similar trailer with a 3/4 ton truck? I think this trailer will max out my rig

RE: Mountain Home, ID to Elko, NV

I would do it with my 30 foot travel trailer. Nice ride, but make sure you have gas, food and water

RE: Wobbly Dinnette Table - How to fix?

Our plan was to put piano hinge attached to the wall and could be lifted to detach when table needed to be a bed. We thought about the fact that our grandkids were too big to sleep on that bed anyway and went with table and chairs. The table is anchored to the floor and the chairs lay down during transit

RE: Alternate route around Adelanto, CA (Hwy US-395)?

The last time I was in Adelanto (70's)I don't think there were any stop lights. I'm not sure there was electricity! (George AFB veteran!)

RE: Using a tow vehicle as a windbreak while boondocking

Tent camping in Iceland tied the guy rope to the bumper of the truck to keep it from blowing away

RE: Moki Dugway, can I do it?

We pulled a 30' trailer down and had no problems except some wide turns because of rock over hang. The problem would be if you met some other trailer going the other way and someone had to back up. There are some places to pass and some that two rigs won't fit. Good luck!
