RE: Engine heat

Pretty normal, especially on the passenger side. Some folks have added additional insulation or heat shielding between the exhaust and floor.

Here's the Ford TSB.

RE: Propane fire pit

After using my weed burner for a while with my 2 gallon tank, it really starts slowing down. The liquid propane has to vaporize to burn it and in doing so it cools the tank which then slows down the vaporization. The higher the consumption, the bigger the tank you need. You'd be much better off to have a 1 or 2 gallon tank for your backup.

RE: Tracker value

Here's one. Ready to tow too. There are probably more Suzukis in Yuma than anywhere in the world, at least in the winter.

RE: Should I carry a spare tire?

Another think to consider is whether or not you'll have cellular service when you need a tire changed. It's an easier decision with a Class C and much lighter tires.

RE: Rear Axle Fluid Change Differential Cover with drain plug.

Did you happen to try a lubelocker gasket?

RE: Rear Axle Fluid Change Differential Cover with drain plug.

That’s the Spicer D80 cover? Does it have a drain plug too?

RE: Rear Axle Fluid Change Differential Cover with drain plug.

Make sure it's the right cover. The '03 E-450 has a D70-HD diff and I think the cover is different than a D70 cover.

RE: Stay and Play VS Unified Tow Brake System

Here's a used solenoid.

RE: Stay and Play VS Unified Tow Brake System

You can buy a used solenoid off ebay. You could also check with the original designer who now has a product called Smartbrake. Smartbrake is really an updated version of what you have and it's possible they used the same solenoid in it. Smartbrake is being marketed by NSA Ready Brake folks.

RE: Rear Axle Fluid Change Differential Cover with drain plug.

Ford specifies the Motorcraft 75W-140 for the '03 E-450 for hot and hilly trailer towing. Hauling a house seems pretty close to trailer towing.

RE: generator isolators

Vibration Isolators Somehow you'll have to figure out how to choose one that isn't too soft or too hard.

RE: Furrion Backup Camera Quality and Performance

Isn't everything junk that's branded Furrion?

RE: Rear Differential Locker

Your class C will very likely have far more traction that your pickup because it has massively more weight on the drive wheels. I can back my motor home up my gravel driveway but my pickup won't go more than two feet up it backwards. In other words, your class C may have more traction without a locker than your pickup does with one. Good diff shops are few and far between and finding one to work on a motor home is even harder. I had to have diff work done on mine and the first two shops did less than desirable work. The third one was a hundred miles away and on the other side of an international boarder but their work was exemplary. You'll have more options if you can pull the diff yourself and haul it to a shop. Looks like East Coast Gear Supply has a few lockers to choose from.

This is a better sensing system.

RE: Gray and Black tank sensor issue

If you really want working sensors, you need to install a different sensing system. Usually if you need to fill your fresh water, you also need to dump the gray and black (at least that's my method). If the toilet is located directly over the black tank, you can just look down the toilet to see how full the tank is.

RE: Class C built in propane tank.

I goggled on your behalf and found you should expect to pay around $500 for a new tank. I'd be very motivated to refurb the one you have. Replace the bleeder valve also while you're at it.

RE: Hot Spot

This happen often with my iphone. If I turn the hotspot off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on, my laptop will usually connect. You might have to get the laptop to refresh the wifi search.

RE: leaking sunroof

Try weed eater line to clean the drain tubes. Less chance of damaging the tubes.
