Recommendations for tire gauge?

Can someone recommend a good, accurate, NON-DIGITAL tire gauge that reads up to around 100 psi? Thanks.

Accident with tow vehicle right before big camping trip?

This is just a general question, but what if you were to get in a traffic accident with your tow vehicle a day or two before a big camping trip? I'm talking about a well planned trip of a lifetime type of trip with hard to get campsite reservations and all. Would the auto insurance provide a loaner vehicle capable of pulling your travel trailer so you could still go on your trip? Has anyone here ever experienced this?

Anyone towing a TT with new Silverado 1500, 3.0L diesel?

I'm curious if anyone here is towing a TT with the new Silverado 3.0L Duramax 1500. If so, how do you like it? How well does it tow, up hills especially? How does the towing compare with the same truck, but with gas 5.3L V8? What fuel mileage are you getting with it city/highway and towing a TT? Thanks.

I-95 checkpoint entering Florida???

I'll be traveling from South Carolina to Florida next weekend. Is there a checkpoint along I-95 entering Florida? If so, does it back up traffic and slow you down a lot? Thanks.

Service Trailer Brake System message

On my lunch break today, I drove my truck to the store, which is 5 minutes away. While driving the "service trailer brake system " message chimed and came up on the dash. It did this several times. I then drove 5 minutes back to work and it happened several more times. When I went home after work (about a 30 minute drive) it never happened. I was not towing anything. Truck is a 2014 Silverado with factory brake controller. It's never done this before today. Has anyone experienced this? Should I do anything before I tow my TT end of next week? Thanks.

RE: Florida State Parks reservation question

The reason I'm asking these questions is because I have a 2 week reservation beginning June 28th. I hope this doesn't happen, but if the Florida State Park closure were to be extended until the end of June, is there anything proactive I could do to not lose the majority of my reservation?

RE: Florida State Parks reservation question

Yes.
Wonder why those were canceled? I thought as of now that reservations through May 15th have been canceled.

RE: Florida State Parks reservation question

Florida State Parks canceled my May 11-18 reservation for an oceanfront site Curry Hammock State Park in the Keys + 2 other reservations thru May 23. Booked that one 11 months in advance...hated to lose it. Full refunds were automatic. My three June reservations remain active.
Did your other 2 that they cancelled begin after May 15th?

Florida State Parks reservation question

As I understand, camping reservations at Florida State Parks were cancelled through May 15. For those who had a reservation at a Florida State Park with an arrival before the 15th and departure after the 15th, was your entire reservation cancelled and refunded, or just the portion before the 15th? As of now, do you still have the remaining dates after the 15th reserved?

RE: Vibe Travel Trailers

I have the 2016 Vibe 308BHS and really like the floorplan. Ours had a leak brand new around the outside kitchen and the dealer had to keep it several weeks right after we bought it to repair leak and dry up the moisture. I was very disappointed that a brand new camper was leaking (rain water) on the dealer lot. I've sadly come to believe that about half of brand new campers have leaks, right out of the factory. A word of advice...get a moisture meter, learn how to use it properly, and go over every square inch of the camper before you buy it. Overall, the build quality is nowhere near as good as our previous camper, 2008 Jayco 28BHS. However, now that we have the leak fixed and minor issues worked out, we really enjoy it.
The spread axle has not caused me any problems. My 2014 Silverado 1500 pulls it just fine. Here's a pic of my homemade x-chocks. They really help with stabilizing the camper. https://i.imgur.com/EvOAiIvl.jpg

RE: Xchocks question

Here's my homemade x-chocks for my spread axle travel trailer. Without the chains and turnbuckle, the wheels still move and I get a seesaw effect of the chocks when I push the back of the camper. With the chains and turnbuckle, the wheels are held rock solid and don't move when I push on the back of the camper.

RE: Question on inner bearing grease seals

What's funny is (1) they don't need as much attention as you think
(2) it's very simple, my wife did the bearings the last time while I was at work.Wow! This is awesome! I'll be sharing this post with my wife! Maybe she can start doing the bearings.
