RE: Oklahoma Turnpike info

I-35 is not a toll road in Kansas, Oklahoma, or Texas. I-70 (The Kansas Turnpike), is toll in Kansas. I-44 (The Will Rogers Turnpike) is toll in Oklahoma.

RE: iPhone AT&T Watch TV App - Cast Without Internet??

We stream all the time using the lightening adapter. At my other home, I don't have internet service, so we can stream anything from the Apple phone to my HD TV. I haven't tried Watch TV that I remember, since I have YouTube TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. YouTube TV will block your locals until you establish/change your location.

RE: Slider

I had a 05 Dodge with the Pullrite. It is the standard of comparison. You never need to enter the bed to hitch or unhitch with this unit. The handle for unhitching is accessible from outside. You do not need to latch when hitching -- that's automatic. You will need a slider of some type.

RE: 5th wheel hitch suggestion

1. I know this has been beat to death, but I’d suggest a F-350, since little difference in ride or cost. 2. Pullrite is still the standard of comparison. Also great customer service.

RE: Front bumper 2015 removal F350

Most require cutting a hole in the front air dam. If you would like to preserve the original, these can be purchased reasonably from EBAY and Amazon.

RE: Superglide Hitch / Capture Plate Question

No. It's very dangerous. You would be best to borrow a capture plate and use it for the short pull -- they are easily removed and re-attached.

bidet seat

Has anyone installed a bidet toilet seat in their camper?

RE: 10/3 Wire split

I'm surprised it isn't 10/3 with ground. Anyway, if you splice in a new wire, won't you have to the insulate the splice?

RE: dometic furnace problem

Wrestling a furnace out is out of the question for a waranted unit. Buy an electric heater until you get it to a dealer.

Slide Solenoid

I found that my slides were working intermittently when retracting. I was always able to get them to work by pushing the "out" button, and then the "In" button a couple of times. However, I became reluctant to extend my slides, especially when boondocking in a WM or a rest area, since the possibility of failure seemed imminent. I discovered that the plastic behind one of the terminals on the slide solenoid was slightly deformed by heat. Apparently, a dirty contact was causing a high resistance connection. I removed the nut and cleaned the surfaces with a wire brush, and I've had no issues since. "Wire Brush<" you might ask. Because it works.

RE: EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY COMPARISON?

I bought an extended warranty for my F-350 when new. I bought a Ford ESP policy online from Lombard Ford for a discounted price. I would be very skeptical of some of these "warranty" companies. Most of the dealers will try to sell a third party policy since they make more on these than the manufacturer's warranty. You would at least have your dealer to argue with about it, but get ready to be fleeced on the price. BTW, the price is negotiable -- be sure to haggle.

RE: Rio grand valley

We winter at Mission West RV in Palmview. There are weekly jams open to the public and a private jam session just for park members. We also have a golf course. I believe that it is $1,000 for five months for first timers.

RE: F250 3.73 to 4.30 axle ratio

The is often tricky to get shimmed and adjusted correctly. With reliability and expense in mind, I think that I would just put up with the 3.73 until time for a new truck. I can't imagine anyone as the next owner would want a 4.3 either. A friend of mine tows a rather large designer with the same set up as yours with few issues. It's no diesel, but it works.
