RE: Truck bed plug or just use plug in bumper for 5th wheel

I use the one in the bumper with no issues, I have one in the bed, but it is at the front for when we load the TC and will not work with the fiver. I apologize to all I have offended by plugging into the bumper.

RE: RV Crushes Truck

And you all watched the video and will probably watch the next one. They are well on their way to 100000 views and 4K a month in income. Then will come the inevitable hauler bed......why are we inflicted with vloggers?

RE: Having a SENIOR moment

Too many nanny devices in vehicles these days, lane departure warnings, blind spot detectors, upteen cameras on a 14 inch screen, heads up displays........ all of these are supposed to warn a driver if we are about to make an error, but, drivers have come to rely on these devises as a primary means of observation, and no longer use their senses. Years ago I took an advanced driving course and SIDPE was drilled into us. Scan Identify Define Prepare Execute.

RE: Camping etiquette

I stayed in a sausage parking RV lot ONCE. There is a BIG difference between camping and RVing. My buddy only goes to RV parks that have full hookups, showers and a pool, we always dry camp or boondock. Many choices of where to camp/RV, if you don't like the atmosphere try something else, you might like it.

RE: Truck camper sadness

When we bought our fifth wheel in 2105, SWMBO insisted that we keep the TC. I am glad she did, as we purchased a boat this year and are we can go camping and boating without taking 2 vehicles.

RE: Adventurer TCs

We have a 2006 that is like a tank. In 12 years of ownership we have replaced 2 dome covers. Haven't used it much in the last 2 years, but just bought a boat so more use is in thd books.

RE: New Duramax owner hitch question

Hensley offers a puck adapter for the Trailer Saver BD3 (excellent hitch) and the heavier B5 will fit directly into the GM puck system without an adapter. Do yourself and your fiver a favor and get an air suspension hitch. I use the Reese picture frame adaptor with my BD3, $200 cheeper. X2 on the air hitch.

RE: Saga of Cell Phone Accident...

I know you are all expert drivers, but, all it takes is a couple of seconds and your lives could change forever. Taking your eyes off the road for 5 seconds while travelling 55MPH is like driving the length of a football field blindfolded. It is just not cell phone usage, it's the coffee on the way to work a quick look ay your Nav screen to check traffic, that all adds up to significant tome periods that you are not paying attention to what you are doing. I just hope that no one of you experts guiding your 5000+ lb missles never hurt anyone.

RE: Saga of Cell Phone Accident...

I have been reading all of these posts from people with a wide variety of opinions. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, most of them come from people who haven't experienced any real loss other than some material damage. The idea that lost human lives are just collateral damage is insane. Has anyone lost someone close to them due to distracted driving? I have, and I for one am glad about the increased enforcement in British Columbia. If one life can be saved it is all worth it.
