RE: Guilty pleasures

Fishing with my son he asked me to back the trailer in to load the boat at the end of the day, no prob says I. Well after many tries and much laughter I realized the problem was I could not see the trailer in the mirrors until it was already trying to jackknife. After a few times of this I got out, lowered the tail gate so I could see the trailer and viola, looked like a pro. Entertainment for others and a little wounded pride for me but all in all. a good day. Learn to laugh, especially at yourself.

RE: Magellan GPS lifetime map updates

I updated my Magellan GPS last year (life time updates)and had a problem after doing so. I was able to talk, by phone, with them and correct the problem. I don't have that number anymore but did find this one for customer service. 1-800-644-033. Havn't tried it so don't know if it really works.

RE: Roadside Assistance

Response from my Farmers Agent "Our towing and roadside covers what is considered a "reasonable cost". In other words, you have a choice of the nearest repair facility or home. There aren't any mileage restrictions. You are paying $8.30 every six months for the truck towing and roadside and $8.30 every six months for the travel trailer." IMHO, dirt cheap! I was shopping insurance awhile back and got a quote from Farmers. It was exactly double for six months what I was paying my current insurance for one years coverage. Stayed with 3A for insurance and use GS for RS. Apples and oranges.

RE: Road assistance

You'd think from the responses, nobody likes good reviews but I do. I've had nothing but good service from them. They even towed me when we let the coverage lapse and allowed me to renew the next day. I just renewed it again.

RE: Tire question? Castle Rock 225/75 r15

Interesting way to put it. "How bad are they" instead of how good are they they? Shows consumer confidence in the RV tire industry and I don't blame you, not much to be confidant in. All that said, I know nothing about that tire brand, just couldn't pass up the opportunity humor on a rainy day. Hopefully someone can answer your question.

RE: What's up with RV names??

My favorite 'buzz word' name is Lite. None of the RV's are light or lite. I chuckle every time I see that. Like Lite beer... another name for 3.2. If you put more air in the tires will the trailer gets Lighter:h

Black water tank

Hi all, I have a 2013 Econ 14BB that has a 10 gallon, yes ten gallon black water tank. That is really small. Has anyone had the experience of replacing a black water tank with a larger one? If so, how hard was it?

RE: Waxing the MH

I wonder if an electric buffer would suffice? You still need the grease.

RE: 2006 5.4 f-250 CCLB mileage solo?

My 2007 5.4 with 3:55 and auto trans running solo at 55/58 mph got 22mpg. Hand calculated. Around town though it gets on average 10.5.
