RE: Semana Santa

No changes around our home base in AZ during Easter. Yes I know it's not MX but just a way of checking in. rocmoc n the Great SouthWest USA

RE: Deming New Mexico to Albuquerque on hwy 26?

Good shortcut but this route is also used by trucks as much as regular traffic in both directions. We use it every time we are traveling this area. rocmoc n the Great SouthWest USA

RE: Baja California to Mazatlan

I have been driving Mexico Hwy 15 for over twenty years. I just drove the road a month ago. It is in the worst condition I have ever driven. That is one of the biggest challenges on here. If you post something that is not favorable towards Mexico, you always get negatively challenged. Even if your post is current. The OP will be riding a motorcycle and if he hits one of potholes that are large enough to cross two lanes he will likely to go down and get hurt. I say this with authority as I have ridden motorcycles for over 50 years and still ride. Also I hit one of those potholes with my motorhome. So hard I pulled over to check if I cracked one of my aluminum rims. Luckily I did not but did break a frame to body support which has been repaired. I call it as I see it. rocmoc n Great SouthWest USA and Baja

You will have better luck getting a response on bajanomaddotcom. Will say road from Mazatlan to USA is mostly in bad shape, lots of potholes. Drove it a month ago. rocmoc n The Great SouthWest

RE: Route 89A in utah

We have driven 89A near AZ/UT border both north and southbound without any problems. We did it with our 36' class A diesel pusher pulling a loaded 18' trailer. We were even lucky enough to find a campsite at Lee's Ferry CG we squeezed into with the trailer connected. Total length of rig is 52 feet. We also did it with a 37' 5er, total length 53 feet. rocmoc n the Great SouthWest

RE: Winter 2022/2023 trip plans changed!

Don't want to go into too much detail. First degree family member is not expected to make it thu winter and we HAVE to be there to support the other half. Thus family reunion.

RE: Los Algodones Mexico

Do not eat any salad or fresh uncooked vegetables or fruit This is not a problem, they use same produce that is imported into USA. rocmoc n Great SoutWest

RE: BYO camper to South America - Pros and Cons?

Go on YouTube and search for "Leave Everything and Wander" and "Curt and Snow". Both channels will provide the info you are looking for. The first couple / channel was traveling in a truck & camper. They crossed the Strait in 2018/2019 so will have look thu past episodes. Curt & Snow, that is their names, are down there now and cross the Strait in 2021. They are traveling in a large 4x4 van. Their rig had to be shipped the same as the camper rig. Both share cost and contacts. Good luck, this Golden Oldie wish he was going with you. Not an easy trip both looks worth it to me. I'm only one of the two votes required to make the trip so do a YouTube channel so I can follow along. rocmoc n The Great SouthWest
