RE: Don't come to NH either!

VT's Coronavirus cases just doubled yesterday. 2 people from Mass crossed the border and 2 from NY came up this way. I guess they figure we've got better health care.

RE: 2020 Chevy payload

Be very careful with the payload. As others have said, it varies greatly by truck. I just bought a 2019 Chevy 2500HD. All the trucks I looked at were bare bones Work trucks. The stickers went from over 3000 lbs. to 2000 lbs. At the low end, the salesman brought out a mechanic who looked it over and found that the rear springs were only 4 leaves. Most 2500HD have 5 leaves.

RE: GM pickup tailgate opening too narrow

Are the sides of the tailgate too narrow or is it just the radiused lower corners? If it's the corners, use a riser to raise the bottom above the curve.

RE: D day, June 6, 1944 - where was Mexico

If my memory still serves me.... Prior to the declaration of war. Germany tried to get Mexico to join them thru secret diplomatic dealings. Mexico instead provided the US with all the discussions and entered into their own negotiations with the US. When Germany's effort failed, they were not happy which led to the sinking's and refusal to apologize.

RE: Pop up winter insulation.

I have a NorthStar 850 popup with the articpac. This is an additional layer that fits along the vinyl. I add a layer of Reflectex between the two fabric layers. This virtually eliminates condensation on the fabric sides. I still keep a vent cracked and put 2 inch foam over the windows and skylight.

RE: Continuing portal trouble.....and an easy fix.

Having worked in IT for over 35 years, I'd like to know what your IT divisions answer is to the above question. The F5 answer reminds of our tech that cured everything with reboot and defrag...

RE: Trail cams

I have a Moultrie. I've caught all type of interesting interlopers including a mother bear and cub sniffing around the camper. But, snow storms really play havoc with it. I'll have tons of pictures of falling snow.

RE: Popup truck camper with soft sides

Don't think a raccoon would be an issue, too low to the ground for one and timid. ...we've had bear on our property eating...berries. Also, have had racoon walk over the hood of the 2500HD with camper popped up (and climb up to the top of our two 4 foot high garbage bins-- the bins locked). All the wile, our Outfitter pop-up was popped-up and parked on our mountain home "campsite". Also, had on 3 occasions, fisher cats fighting it out in our forest less that ~10 feet from our camper at ~2 AM trying to decide which one will decimate our neighbor's 5 chickens-- well, they killed them all that evening just 700 feet away....while we were overnighting in the camper. Our Outfitter stays popped-up nearly permanently over our 3 months of summer (that's all the time we get above freezing here: 3 months a year), on our property parked in our private forest campsite. Never had a squirrel, fisher cat, racoon, bear or any other wild animal with teeth and claws tear through the soft side. Oh, also, we have bobcat, lynx, coyote, and on one occasion, a mountain lion (the mountain lion tore a local horse to shreds a few years ago). We live fairly close to the Green Mountains (a few minutes drive) and huge Maine North Woods (close to 4 million acres of unfragmented forest) and are just about as wild as you can get, here on our property campsite, in the Northeast... Quebec. Here in the Green Mountains I have pictures of a bear and cub walking ten feet from my popped up camper. They never even batted an eye towards it.
