RE: Loose Grab Handle

I thought about somethin g that would match the interior a little. Thanks for the suggestions. (DW tends to be a tad picky about things sticking our of the walls)

RE: Loose Grab Handle

The metal plate on the inside sounds good. May give that a try.

RE: Loose Grab Handle

You've given me some ideas to try, Thanks.

Loose Grab Handle

The grab handle by the front door has three screws on top and three screws on bottom. The ones on top are loose. I've tried tightening them but it only works for a short time. There isn't much behind the wall for the screws to go into. I tried those plastic expanding things but that didn't work either. Any ideas?

RE: When to change oil

Thanks to you all for your responses. Everyone seems to do it a little different but pretty much all in the same mindset.

When to change oil

My truck (2016 Chevy diesel) gives me a percentage of oil usage left. At what percentage do you fellas normally change your oil? I normally will let mine get to around 12%-15%. Just curious if you change yours more frequently.

RE: Listen to your Dad

Wow! Glad you listened to good old dad. Can you elaborate a little on what kind of gage? I'm really curious, as well as I'm sure others may be. Describe it perhaps?

Questions for Veterans

I have a great respect for veterans and would never want to do anything offensive to any of them. I did not serve in the military but did spend over thirty years in law enforcement. My question: My granddaughter's husband (grandson-in-law?) is stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C. He is currently in Iraq till October but will then return to Ft. Bragg. For Christmas, he sent me a really nice T-shirt with FT. BRAGG written across the back and a military emblem on the front. I love the shirt. It's well made and very comfortable. I've never actually worn it away from home. I guess I'm a little concerned that someone might think I was passing myself off as a former military member. (I'm in my 70's so I seriously don't think anyone would think I was home on leave) Am I overthinking this? As a veteran, would you be offended?

RE: Bedroom door

Door wedge. We've been using that brace that came with the 5th wheel that keeps the slide from accidently coming open in transport to keep the door open. But, lately, the sliding door seems to be bouncing off the rails and we've been trying to think of a way to prop it open. Door wedge! Thanks ParrotHead Mike.

RE: Deleting Book from Cloud

DW ordered a Kindle "Fire-10" e-reader from Amazon. Loves it so far. Lots of free books to read.

Dutch_12078: We haven't had these Iphones very long and are still in a learning stage. There probably is a way to look to see what's stored there. We'll keep playing around with our new phones. Thank goodness for grandkids. This stuff seems to come natural to them.:)

Coolmom42: Thanks for the info. If it's not a significant issue we just won't worry about it.

Deleting Book from Cloud

DW loves to read. She'll read a book from first page to last in one sitting. Recently, she downloaded a free book onto her Apple I-11 phone. When she finished she deleted the book. Then, we started wondering if would remain in the cloud. We don't want to use all her cloud storage on deleted books. How would one delete it from the cloud, if that's possible. Thanks.

RE: Moderna vaccine (Personal experiences)

DW and I both had sore arms after the first shot. (Moderna) Got the 2nd shot on a Friday, four weeks later. On Saturday both of us just pretty much laid around all day. Took naps. Nothing major, just blah feeling. Next day felt perfectly normal. Certainly nothing compared to being on a ventilator in a hospital ICU with no visitors allowed. Good friends had same results as us. Nothing major.
