RE: Ram 2500 DEF fluid

Your gas truck will run forever without filling the DEF tank. :W The answer to your question is in the owners manual. Gee, thanks for the help :R You're welcome. I just thought that I didn't want to sit and type up everything that you already have in your possession. :R Then don't answer. Like at all

RE: Ram 2500 DEF fluid

In theory, you should need DEF about the same time you need an oil change. But there are a LOT of variables to that. Your DEF gauge is probably working just fine. You shouldn't need to fill after 6 tanks of fuel. According to Cummins, DEF consumption is 3% - 5% of your total fuel consumption. The DEF tank on a 2016 2500 is 5.5 gallons. Thanks Bionic man. Great information. Yes, everything is on the net, but sometimes it is nicer to interact with people and listen to stories rather than just read a book. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

RE: The price of new trucks is beyond comprehension!

Funny. I went from buying new to recently buying used Got a 16 for 40,000 less than the guy who bought it new. That said, I did see 2020 Ram 2500 fully loaded for $102,000!!!

6.4 litre HEMI vs Cummins

Hi all Just upgrade TV from a Dodge 2500 6.4 litre to a 2500 Cummins Looking to see if anyone else made this change to share your experiences on gas mileage. Did the cummins make a difference in regular driving?

RE: New truck - but its lifted and towing

Thanks all for the replies. My hitch can actually be flipped upside down to lower it. So i will do that and try to level the trailer with what I have.

New truck - but its lifted and towing

Hi all. Just upgraded to a 2016 Dodge 2500 Laramie with a Cummins. It's a beauty! However, I get it this weekend and have a camping trip right after. It's lifted about 3" I would say. My trailer is in the signature. 2014 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 28 ft. I don't imagine towing with a lifted truck is good. But my question is, do I go on my upcoming trip (about 2 hours away), or do I rush the truck in to the get spacers removed. I realize if it stays I will have to readjust my sway set up. Thanks!
