RE: How can people do things like this?

Sick people.. bro in law told me about a nut having sex with a beaver. Put these people down as the animals they are. Beaver is beaver.

RE: WFCO price vs other brands.

WFCO is all Chinese junk anyway. Go with Progressive Dynamics. USA made.

RE: Broken Down in N. California..north of Eureka

Could be a number of things. I would think a 1999 would have an electronic controller on the transmission preventing a shift to 1st at too high of an RPM.

RE: Replacing an 8X20 awning

OMG! I can't believe the number of Debbie Downers when it comes to power awnings! Anyone that wastes a dime on fixing up the old manual model is just penny foolish. A new roller, plus new arms, plus new material is way more expensive than a new A&E power awning. But when the sun goes down on the awning side of your RV, you can't lower your awning like us manual awning users can. I can get my manual awning down to 3.5' off the ground. To each his/her own. Richard I have a Carefree Travl'r electric awning and it has multiple pitch adjustments.

RE: Bad Bendix?

If the buzzing you are hearing is the starter turning in the bell housing, then yes, probably a bad bendix. That is what kicks the gear on the front of the starter into the flywheel to crank the engine. The resistor block on the firewall was back in the 60's I believe and was in place of the resistance wire all other manufacturers ran to the coil. It is there because after the motor starts, you don't want a full 12v to the coil. It will overheat and blow like a volcano. Ask me how I know this. LOL Resisters were still used in the 90s. My 92 Jeep has one.

RE: Breakowns while travelling

My last breakdown was last year, 400 miles from home. Fortunately, we made it to the campground. Alternator decided to stop working. Nearest repair facility and parts store was 30 miles away. I had tools for the repair, but no parts. Luckily, a member of our group was nice enough to drive me to a parts store. Repaired at the campground in 90+ temps.

RE: Rebuilt brake calipers and headlights go out / high beams

Plastic or metal pistons? I've never seen plastic pistons that didn't stick.

RE: Options for a TT toyhauler

I've only seen them in 5th wheel models. I carry a second 12v compressor fridge in the truck bed.
