RE: Memorial Day

there were 8 boys in my dad's family and 3 boys in my mother's family. total 11, of this 9 served in WWII. My dad was a US Marine, 1 in the Navy, 1 in the US Army Air force, 1 in the Coast Guard. all the others were in the Army. None were killed. The two who did not serve were too young. Uncle Albert did serve later. another strange thing - All of them had the same first name - Uncle. another thing - 4 of my dad's sisters also served. not sure what branch. i had 12 Aunts

RE: I'm Unclear About Something re: Stimulus Payments

i did a google search and this is what I got - ********************************************** With a few exceptions -- such as SS beneficiaries with children or new beneficiaries in 2020 -- Social Security recipients will automatically receive their stimulus payments in the same manner in which their Social Security benefits are paid out. ****************************************************************** as i said -'we will see '

RE: I'm Unclear About Something re: Stimulus Payments

we are in the situation that you are. what you said is my understanding also. some where i saw that it would be 1st part of May. we will see. ours should be a direct deposit, as our regular payments are.

lawn care - which comes first - mow then fertilze

now that spring is here I got the fertilizer and stuff to put on the lawn. question is - should I mow first then put on the stuff or put on the stuff then mow. DW says mow first then add the stuff.

RE: Recreational Border Crossing

yes, i saw that. i feel for those who depend on tourism. CG owners and such. we had thought about going to the Calgary stampede. Those on the Alaska highway also. The RV caravan companies also. Everyone in some way will be affected by this.

RE: Has Truck Camper Magazine Ceased to Exist ?

there is a new website TruckCamperAdventures i look at both of them all the time. i like them both, the nice thing about TCA is they have more TC stuff. the thing i have always disliked about TCM is that if you do not advertise with them, then you do not exist. We met Gordon and Angela several years ago at a Forida campground and then again at the Forida RV show. Check out the Truck Camper Adventure website. But both of them are worth reading. above works for me.

RE: Preparing for isolation to avoid contact with Corona virus

back in 1918-1920 there was the Spanish flu - it was estimated to kill 20 to 50 MILLION people world wide. About 650,000 Americans. Including one of my aunts.

i have been to the Dayton Hamvention several times when it used to be at Hara Arena many years ago. Last time was probably early 2000. maybe some time i can go again. on edit - just looked at their website - tickets at the door $31 - too much - I guess I will not go again.

RE: How many Northern Lite owners do we have? (revision 2)

looking at a Northern-Lite 9'6"Q 2003 - ad says it is in good condition. does not have A/C. they are asking $16k - for a 16 year old TC this seems too much. it is currently on Ebay. i tried to check out kelly blue book, but could not find any info. is this a good price??

RE: Mens' belts left or right

People shouldn't have to make decisions like this. Other ones I've wrestled with are which arm should I put in my shirt or jacket first and which leg first when putting pants and shoes on.True, just like, Which way should the TP come off the roll, Over or Under. :h ************************************************************** Geez wiz - everyone knows the TP comes over the top. Dang

RE: Mens' belts left or right

i start on my left side, circle around my back and end up on my right side. That way the buckle is always on the left side. But, when i put on my stocks i always put the left foot on first and then the right foot.. When i put on my pants i always put the right foot in first. then the left foot.

RE: Catcher frames/lands the pitch

the umpire always looks over the inside of the plate, so anything on the outside is a pure guess. one the best things baseball did was the instant replay.
