RE: Fresh Water Tank

did you have a water pressure regulator on the hose that you were filling your fresh water tank with? If not do you believe the water pressure was 20-30 lbs above 40 lbs?

RE: First Fifth Wheeler

We have been towing a toy hauler at 13' 6" around the SW United States for about 7 years. Have never encountered a bridge/overpass that was lower than this.

RE: Teaching Your Spouse How to Pull a Trailer

Find a large gravel lot, get some cones, train away, never yell, if things get tense take a break, make it a fun experience

RE: Leak under shower

Good luck with your project. I am guessing this is the tip of the iceberg given your rig is 43 years old. You will need to be an expert handyman! If you are it should be fun, if not, not so much.

RE: New rig for boondocking?

We would highly recommend a toy hauler. We boondock exclusively and love our toy hauler with its patio feature. Perfect length at 37'

RE: Cooper tire failure at 65mph - now what?

I believe you traveled on a very nasty gravel road with a fully loaded vehicle. Not sure any tire would withstand this. I went mulie hunting in NM three years ago and completely destroyed the tires on my Jeep while driving on very poor gravel roads.

RE: Accepting our fate....perhaps a TH after all

RE: Newbie Tow Vehicle Help

Have you lived/traveled in a fifth wheel full-time in the past? If the answer is no then be careful in that there are many stories of people doing what your post says only to find out that living in a fifth wheel full time isn't what they expected.

RE: Pump when hook up to city water

We never use our water pump nor do we put water in the fresh water tank Am I correct in assuming that the pump would not work similarly for us due to the fact that our freshwater tank is empty? Gonna try this tonight and see

RE: A.C. problem

has he gone on the roof and taken the cover off and looked at the unit yet? Cooling fins could be all plugged up. They make cleaning kits for the fins. Would be a good first thing to check

RE: Buying land for camping...

We looked at this as well. As others have stated we decided to not do this so that we can continue to "move around". Was the correct choice for us.
