RE: Over the air antenna

Not the bat wing. All it does is get rattled in the wind. The new TV channels just need a small antenna. The wing does no good but that the little part on it does. I use the Jack antenna. Get many stations!

RE: Suburban Versus Excursion or something else???

Why not get an older double cab duramax. It will fit the family and have some power. My 2002 is still going strong.

RE: Electric jack for 5 wheel goes up and not down

Now fixed. I got the motor tested and the switch tested both fine. The wiring had wires going from the switch to motor and to inside the trailer? So wired it directly from power to switch to motor and it works!

RE: Electric jack for 5 wheel goes up and not down

Help I have had the switch and the motor checked and are fine. Some wires go,to the switch and motor. Some go back into the trailer then come back out. There must be a bad relay some where in side.does anybody know where to look? I looked in the fuse box and did not see any relay looking like one you would see in a car. This is a 2014 jayco 26.5. Any help would be great.

RE: Electric jack for 5 wheel goes up and not down

This is for a 5 wheel! There is only one motor that lifts both legs. If there is a relay I don't know where it could be.

Electric jack for 5 wheel goes up and not down

The jack stands that raises the front of the trailer up and down just goes up and not down. Worked fine in the morning next camp site won't go down. Checked the switch and it seems ok. Only 2 wires going to the motor. I tried jumping power to each one. One makes it going up the other it goes up very slow. Any ideas?

RE: Winegard Wingman

Throw the bat wing away and get a jack. The wing gets caught in wind and will break the mount.

RE: Dog Attack

This is my dog story. Camping on the coast of California Doran beach I went for a walk with my 3 Pekingese and walked by a Rottweiler chained up and barking like crazy. It was jerking on its chain and broke loose and atacked my dogs. One was hirt and we drove to a 24 hr vet in Santa Rosa 250 dollars later we came back to camp. The guy said he Was sorry and gave us a check. Came home and the check bounced. Called him up and he said I need to pay bills first. After a few weeks of hassle it finely cleared. I have nightmares of that atack of that vicious Rottweiler!

RE: Towing on snowy roads

I work on Donner summit in the winter and see RVs (but not many) going through chain control. Also most 18 wheelers do not park they chain up. As for your set up you can put good steel chains on the back wheels for better traction. Your trailer get a good set of cable chains. On Donner summit California 1-80 they won't let you through with our chains on truck and trailer. If was me I would wait out the storm!
