RE: Getting ADCO Windshield Cover Into Storage Bag?

I really never realized that people cover windshields from the exterior. If you pull into a overnight spot in bad weather, you have to get out of the MH to install it then try to pack it away when its wet. Isn't it easier to cover the windshield from the inside, where you install it and fold it up dry ? We have an exterior cover that came with the RV, we have never used it yet. We always just use the internal cover. We carry it with us and i have taken it out and put it back in the bag it came in. Maybe if we stayed in a place for more than a few days we might use it? Don't know

RE: 2006 Grayhawk Ford e450 v-10: Power increase

From what I have researched and experienced, you have to let an engine breathe. Increased air in, and increase exhaust flow out.. But in my experience, increasing exhaust flow out sometimes decreases torque. Just sayin

RE: If you had a month...?

Adventure Caravans tour of the Great Western Parks takes the entire month of September starting in St. George, UT. Wow! Some of those tours are pricey

RE: Travel with Kill Switch Off

On our rig, the electric step is powered by the chassis battery so it goes in automatically even with the all the house shut off. Like others say, killing the power to the house shuts off the fridge, and maybe the house batteries won't get charged. X2

RE: Gas stations

I can understand what you are saying, one station in particular stands out in my memory. The gas fill on my 31ft class c is at the very back of the coach on the drivers side. When I got into position so the hose on the pump would reach, the front of the RV was about 2 ft from the door of the mini mart

RE: Moki Dugway, Should I try it?

Accidentally drove down Moki Dugway last year in my 14,050 lbs 31 ft class c with a motorcycle carrier on the back so basically 34ft long. Really tight hairpin turns and sheer drop offs. Wouldn't do it again in my RV going up or down... Especially if my wife was in the RV again... She's almost over it :W

RE: Running only off of onboard tank

I don't necessarily use the fresh water tank all the time, but there's always fresh water in it. Couple of times, there was a problem with the Campground water so we used the onboard tank, and if we leave the RV for any length of time and I am hooked to water, I shut off the water and even shut my secondary shut off at my 45degree brass fitting inline at my water filter

Peppertree campground in eastford CT

Trying to get some updated reviews on this campground. I have checked my usual review websites and the newest review was from 2017. So, has anyone been there recently? Also their website shows no 50amp service (I only need 30amp) but find it odd in this day and age that there is no 50 amp....

RE: No Spare tire correct

My 2006 Greyhawk 31SS came with a spare mounted to the rear bumper (which is WAY overbuilt and I'm grateful!) thanks Jayco :)

RE: slow drain of freshwater tank

A smaller diameter more flexible snake? Or if it's accessible, get right to the fitting at the tank to take drain line off? Etc... First thing I would do is get that tank some bleach or whatever kind of disinfectant you want to use to kill that algae

Quick question about Maine

Are there any beachfront (on the water) rv sites that aren't so close to each other that you can hear your neighbors whisper, for a 31ft class c? That seems to be an issue from what I have researched.

RE: Angry wannabe RV police encounter

I've had an idiot in a Subaru with his wife and kid in the car brake check me while driving my 14,500 lbs 31ft Class C... According to him, he said I cut him off on a 4 lane freeway... Luckily for him, I knew he was going to do something incredibly STUPID when he got in front of me... So him and his family survived. Moral of the story.... People are just too self centered today. They live in their 6ft bubble and most don't care about anything outside that bubble

RE: USA RV Park in NM

Great park if you dont mind the train noise. Anything close to I40 in NM will have train noise all night. We actually find the "lonesome whistle" of the trains kind of soothing. Never had a problem sleeping

USA RV Park in NM

Just looking for some reviews and info from folks that have stayed there. We may use that as a base to see 4 corners, chaco canyon, and canyon de chilly.

RE: Texas?!? I'm shocked.

In RI, because of the weight of the RV I have to get an inspection every year. Luckily it's only 15.00. For a regular car it's every 2 years and costs $58.00. And "supposedly" that money goes to improve the roads :R
