RE: black tank chemicals

I use Aqua-Kem in the little disposable bottles. Ive tried HC and the Porta-Paks but i prefer Aqua-Kem.
X2 never had a problem. Put the remnants of the empty bottle mixed with water in the grey tank which works also

RE: Chesapeake Bay bridge and tunnel Maryland

Yes, the only strange things that happened when we used it was shutting off the propane before entering the tunnel/bridge, and the "push" that we felt when a semi passed us going the opposite direction. I expected to be pushed to the side, but instead felt a push from behind! Strange phenomenon

Looking for solar info UPDATE

We are just looking for a small affordable solar system. This would be used to recharge a GRP 31 deep cycle battery ONLY. We just want it for lights and maybe rechargeable items. What would be good for wattage? 100 watts? 50? PWM controller? We will use the generator for all the power hogs onboard. Thx
We dont use power hungry items while boondocking, we have LED lighting, and would use propane or campfire for cooking. If we need the A/C we will be in a rv park. We dont want to get an inverter and just want solar to recharge the group 31 deep cycle. We just dont need a lot of solar or the expense of a big system

RE: Toadless car renters

Enterprise rent a car will pick up, and you drive it back to them and they give you a ride back. So.e larger campgrounds have local rental cars onsite too. It usually will state this on the campground website

RE: engine longevity?

The part about low mileage on older model RV's is correct. Bought my 2006 with only 18,000 miles on it in 2015. Now...that being said... it now has 43,000 miles on it

RE: Motorcycle on stock hitch

https://www.discountramps.com/hitch-mounted-steel-motorcycle-carrier/p/MCC-600/
We have a class 3 hitch on our class C and use a motorcycle carrier with a 600lbs max capacity with my wife's Suzuki Boulevard S40 (maybe 450lbs soaking wet) and have gone around 15,000 miles with it so far. No problems at all. I just check it at every gas stop to make sure the anti-wobble device hasn't loosened up.

RE: Make a "Smart" RV ?

Not saying I want to do all the things I listed, but looking for inspiration on maybe doing some projects, etc... I can understand being simplistic, back to basics etc... but remember that the guy in the tent watching you and I pull into a campground with our RV's... might feel that WE are the heretics, etc everyone camps different
