RE: Anybody else have trouble packing for camping

No. Make several check lists and start stacking things in a location days before. With lists you won't forget anything and won't be in a last minute panic.

RE: From South to North, best route thru Pheonix

We like to take I10 to AZ51 to AZ101 to I17. I also have an alternate from I101/AZ51 via backroads to I17 near Ben Avery(Carefree).

RE: Water filter option other than Camco???

Look into rvwaterfilterstore.com, he can answer any of your questions. His hoses are great also!!!

RE: 31Ft Minnie winnie

Are you looking for something like Bigfoot or something like Levelmate to tell you when you are level.

RE: Pickle on My Entry Door Grab Handle

My guess would be running the heat pumps all night was not appreciated. Noise really travels at night and if they were in tents the noise would be very aggravating.

RE: What good are low point drains?

If you don't have them how are you going to drain the tank. They will be fine and won't break

RE: 50 amp coach on 30 amp power

You don't say what coach you have. Ours is a 50a that runs fine on 30a. We have a system that sheds loads as other components need electricity. An example is the A/C's. Only one will run at a time when shedding. Our coach is a 2015, if yours is newish check to make sure you don't have load shedding. Other than that you will quickly learn what combination trips the breaker. We have all our electic items labeled with how much each takes. We bought a Kill-A-Watt and measured everything.

RE: To Buy or build

If you have never owned an RV before how do you know what you really want/need? If you put 2 years of work and $ into the rig and then hate it or find out you made a major error. Buy first, it won't be your only one, find out how you really want to live full timing.

RE: Breaker Panel Help Please

Have you talked to the rigs manufacturer? Regarding the AC maybe it is wired for 2 ACs.

RE: building new campground

I would say you have your answer then. I would phase it in, transients first to give you some income and then create the longer term sites.

RE: building new campground

To see how popular your location is you might want to look into Harvest Hosts. RVers who belong to HH are just looking for a spot to park overnight, no need for any hookups, your brewery would be a draw. All anyone is looking for is a flat, level spot.

RE: Black Tank Leak

Yes, we had a gray tank leak and used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BOB8P6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Worked great!!! Fixed it 2 months ago, bounced across Alaska and Canada and still fine. We gave it a good test.

RE: Auto Generator Start

The problem with the MarCell and other warning systems is the assumption you have cell phone service and wifi. We find we are without many times during a trip or are off hiking in the wilds. The EC30 and the Magnum turn on the generator if there is a power failure, this is assumming you are running your AC initially.

RE: Auto Generator Start

Normally RV mfg. install the EC30 with the generator. I understand it is a difficult component to do as an add-on but Magnum has an autostart also. You might want to look into that if needed.

RE: Auto Generator Start

Do you have an EC30 controller in your rig? This would be where you start and stop the generator. If you do you can program that to do what you want.

RE: Roll Call Alaska 2019

Anyone traveling to/in AK should pay close attention to the wildfire issues. Sterling Highway was closed but now has reopened and I believe the Parks highway is also having problems with smoke and fire. I found this site to be very helpful before and while we were there: https://akfireinfo.com/ We signed up for emails on all the roads we travel via 511.Alaska.gov and fund the emails extremely helpful. I am also hearing of snow in BC, Fort Nelson to be exact.

RE: Roll Call Alaska 2019

When we stayed in Riley(mid-June) we saw Moose all the time, with calf. One day we put up the shades and there were a Mom and her calf 2' from our rig munching away. We also had been warned about a Mom and her 2 calfs being very aggressive in protecting them and to avoid. We were at Riley mid-June also, site A22. Maybe we were neighbors! We saw those moose too along with a mom and her triplets that hung around the entrance! Ships passing in the night. I don't remember my site number but it was the last loop.

We drove it last week. Thought it very rough until you get south of Iskut, then road improves.
