RE: Rest Areas in Az, CA

I think the ones in AZ are only for truckers. Best if you assume they are not open.

RE: Android question

If you need a phone you might want to look at the Samsung A51 or a Samsung 10. Our kids have the Samsung 10 and absolutely love it.I have not researched the difference between the 2 yet. A51 is a low priced(relatively) priced entry. Samsung seems to have made 128G standard on a majority of their phones.

RE: Android question

I have tried this and I gain minimal breathing space on storage. Start saving your money for a new phone.

RE: Dish Hardware

TV channels. As I understand you can continue to get you LA stations if you are 200 miles or less away, if more than that you need to switch to other locals.

RE: Dish Hardware

We just switched for other reasons, just good timing. Talking to Dish was hopeless. The local dealer was easy to deal with. She gave us a Hopper 3(which is updated on a regular basis by Dish), roof unit on our RV lot roof. We need to move our traveller over to Dish. I emailed Winegard, and they told me I needed: You have the SK-SWM3 Trav'ler. To convert a DirecTV SK-SWM3 Trav'ler to work with DISH service, you will need to change out the head of the antenna to make it work with DISH. Please call our Customer Support team at 800-288-8094 and order parts RP-SK11, and RP-SK21. You can order parts on our website using the links below as well. https://winegard.com/products/satellite-tv/roof-mounted-antennas/travler/dish-bell-hd-travler-replacement-reflector https://winegard.com/products/satellite-tv/roof-mounted-antennas/travler/dish-bell-hd-travler-feed-arm-with-lnb-cable I bought both on Amazon and the dealer will install. I don't know why Winegar needed to know this. I still need to ask them how to get the control unit updated.

RE: Trip Planning by mile

RVtripwizard has radii rings(3) that you can set for various distances as the crow flies. They also have hours of drive time.

RE: Multi month trip planning

You may want to try rvtripwizard.com. Though it is a subscription it is the most complete product I have seen. There is also an app, RV Life for your phone that copies the trips from RVTW to your phone.

RE: Prepaid Mobile Phone and Service in Canada

Cricket includes Canada and Mexico as standard coverage. It is an ATT MVNO that has contracts with the big Canadian telcos.

RE: Prepaid Mobile Phone and Service in Canada

Cricket, We used it this summer for 3-4 months both as our phone and hot spot. No problem whatsoever. They calin you need to use 50% of your usage in US but we sure didn't and others haven't and there have ben no repercussions.

RE: Insurance Denying Claims

I just read about these guys. You might want to email them and see if they can help. Collision Safety Consultants 704-747-9337 They apparently tackle the insurance companies and mny tims get the insurance company to pay up.

There is bound to be a park between the 2.

RE: Forwarding Mail

Since you have available a CO address to maintain residency there is no need to have your mail forwarding service in CO.

RE: Alaska Highway Campgrounds

We were there last summer. No reservation except for Denali. You can always park in a pullover spot on the roads. Plenty of Provincial parks in Canada. We would try to get into campgrounds around 2-3 each day.

RE: Anybody else have trouble packing for camping

No. Make several check lists and start stacking things in a location days before. With lists you won't forget anything and won't be in a last minute panic.
