RE: E-450 Spare Tire carriers

Mounted mine on the roof. Machinest son made me a 12” square of 3/16 stainless with 2 bolts welded on that fit the wheel lug holes. Screwed down with #12 stainless screws. Then all of this was covered with 2 layers of fiberglass . People always ask how would you get it down, my reply was gravity is your friend. Tire was covered with a snap on housing that protected from UV.

Reserveamerica

Rant, if people are looking for jobs, try subject. Yesterday I was on hold for 1:18:40 to get a reservation at a ga. State park.

RE: Best brand for resale?

Ron, really doubt that will be the same for the PC 2014, 2552 that I bought to replace the Chinook. Health concerns just required a little bigger rig.

RE: Best brand for resale?

Chinook. We have had ours for over 11 years and 95k+ miles. Yes have spent a LOT on upgrades. All maintenance done as required. New owner coming this weekend to pick up. Sold for more than I paid. 2005 was the last year of production but they seem to keep going up in value.

RE: 30amp / 50amp question

If I recall, on my PC when plugged into 30amp the second a/c is not receiving current thu the panel, so it can’t be turned on.

RE: Is A New 2018 Still New?

How does your state figure your advaloram? In ga. Now they get everything up front based on vin. So your 3 year old(maybe 4) based on vin will save you a chunk over the purchase of a current vin. Might offset some loss.

RE: wiring a 30 Amp Power Outlet 30A Circuit Breaker {{UPDATE}}

Just to note, that link is for a refurnished unit. which one is that??? Your very first post, scroll down to “product description “....”this refurbished product was tested... “ I checked again and don't see where it says refurbished... Is that what TESTED means when u buy electrical items, that they are used???? does it matter if it is or should I avoid this type??? thanks Sorry, where it says “product features”. To me, it means it was sold and returned for what ever reason. Probably nothing wrong with it, but to me it would have to be greatly discounted.

RE: Shop4seats

Op. Got a quote, not bad. Just wondering about quality. Few customer reviews and are dated 2017. I, as many are victims of supper shoddy fabric coverings that are deteriorating. Priced having mine recovered, but buying new is really just a few dollars more. Spending this much on something I can not see or feel is just uh.

RE: Motorcycle on stock hitch

For the anti rattle. Go to a home store and buy a pack of plastic wedge/shims used to install doors and windows. Jam the narrow end in the receiver and snap off if you want the excess. No more wiggle. I prefer to use a large bolt with washers and nylon lock nut. Once tightened there is no chance of any rattles .Using pieces of wood sounds cheesy. Unless you use a locking hitch pin (and I already had one failure on those) you risk losing or having someone tamper with the pin.if you would PROPERLY read my post, I did say PLASTIC shims. And they do work.

RE: HWH levelers, again

Op. Yes they will all extend. After having busted that big mirror from uneven frame racking I’m overly cautious about uneven lifting.

HWH levelers, again

Posted several weeks ago about a problem that seemed to fix itself after awhile. Now out on the road and something else. HWH 325 with 6ksprings. Looking at the control panel, I’m going to describe as a baseball diamond. 2nd base is the front. Before the up/down arrows worked in pairs, as supposed to. Now if I press the 2nd base up arrow only the right front goes down. Press the 3rd base up arrow, and only the left front goes down. Home plate up arrow and only the left rear goes down. Etc. so where did the “dual function” go?

RE: HWH front right

Again thanks all. All 4 do tilt slightly downward. These are on a 2014 unit.

RE: HWH front right

Op again. Just spent more time looking for that roller bearing. As for mp65-3035 that is for a 9000# jack. Don’t look anything like mine. Mp65-3030 is what I seem to have 6000#, no bearing?

RE: HWH front right

Op. Thanks again Doug, I’ve printed off both references you pointed to. Finally quit storming so got to crawl under. Sprayed all friction points with PB blaster. Well watcha know, it works now, but don’t know if the spray was just a make me feel good action. Wiggling it didn’t seem to be bound up anywhere. Posts above mention a roller bearing. Hard to see/feel around but didn’t see anything that looked like a bearing. There is a stout rod with circlips on both ends that the unit pivots on. Is that the bearing? Now this part is confusing to me: LF MOD #12447. RF MOD AP7164 LR. Ap7164. RR. 12447 SPRINGS HAVE 49 COILS. funny to me the opposite corners model numbers match. What would be the reason for that? So good to go for now, thanks for responses.

Op. Thanks Doug. These swing down 90*. Tornadoes in the forecast so might be a day before I can try your suggestions.

HWH front right

As subject, jack is slow to none when operating. Just got this unit, 2014 PC with 325 model HWH. THERE WAS a 74”x24” mirror glued to a wall partition until the first time I tried leveling. Frame tweaked and shattered the mirror. I’ve read the manual and watched several YouTube vids before I started and understood they are (supposed)to work in pairs. Now I know to look before fully extended, and found the right front, SOMETIMES ***** down but will not extend. The red light for that jack illuminates right away. When partially cocked(the left is fully vertical) I can tap the jack and it will move down a little. So, bound some where? Weak hydro to that cylinder? Retract works fine, but that is all springs isn’t it. So where to start? Do have a call into HWH but haven’t heard back yet.
