RE: Credit Score

I have 2 credit cards through Bank of America, a Visa and Mastercard. I pay both of them off each month, and it hasn't affected my credit score, as far as I can see. Ditto - 2 cards with Bank of America. One doesn't get used, the other one gets used for nearly everything I buy. The charges and payments are such that there's never an interest charge because I pay what's charged every month, as the month progresses, rather than waiting for a statement to arrive and then sending off a payment. There might be a balance at the end of the statement period, but it's all new charges from the week prior. All my accounts are with B of A, so I keep tabs on everything through online banking and constantly make balance transfers to the CC. My score will fluctuate by 5-8 points, depending on what the balance is when the credit reporting agencies see the balance (and how much it is) on the card. The primary reason for using a CC card for nearly all purchases is the bonus points I earn. I use those points to get free gift cards, then I go on a shopping spree.

RE: Tailgate on or off

Gotcha thanks, this Eagle Cap 811 is made to fit both short and king beds, so I wonder if I should just leave it off Earlier you said you don't have one, so in essence, you don't have one to put on. What's a King bed? We haven't heard that term in reference to a truck bed.

RE: Shutoff valves for appliances?

3/8" inverted flare cap...done Or Remove fridge gas line back at the 'T' and install a pipe plug...done No 'brazing' required as RV LP System is screwed together from TANK to main line to 'Ts' to each appliance...screwed together All the above. I installed a cap. Done. I've never seen propane line brazed. Copper plumbing, yes. gas line, NO. Like Old Biscuit says, RV Propane systems are generally all screwed together.

RE: Converting a travel trailer to all 120/240 volt electric

do "park" models run stuff on 12 volt? bumpy Probably should start your own thread for your question, since it has nothing to do with the OP's topic.

RE: Air Shocks

No mention of a weight distribution hitch here? Come on guys. Come where? This topic is about air shocks (or air bags probably) and NOT about a weight distribution hitch.

RE: Zero-G water hoses

see complaints that it says do not keep under pressure? Not really sure what "doesn't keep under pressure" means.

DEF/DPR/re-gens... DPR? Looks like another typo.

RE: Surge breaks on a dolly

Yes, a dolly needs brakes, so things don't break when you can't stop due to not having brakes.

RE: Anyone ? GM 3.0 diesel

I would stay far away from any small diesel. They are problematic and not worth the aggravation. The Baby Duramax has only been out for a year (or less) so I'm not sure why you think it has problems.

Easy project, which I documented here when I did this on my Nash 17k I've done the same upgrade. The marker lights I used are these

RE: Dirt road travel

Stick with a Northwood (AF-Nash) or ORV, and you'll be fine. I've hundreds, if not thousands, of off-highway travel with mine. Definitely go with composite sides. Aluminum dents and gouges any time a tree branch looks at it wrong. Ditto on Northwood or ORV (Outdoors RV) Both companies build their own chassis in LaGrande, OR instead of using cheap / undersized frames from LCI / Lippert. Northwood and ORV are sister companies. Frames for both come from their own frame shop. The build their frames very stout. They are all about the same... marginal at best. Plan to upgrade as needed. ORV and Northwood are the exception to that thought because they build their own frames instead of outsourcing them from LCI

RE: Recommend a TT (rough roads, no campgrounds)

Looking for suggestions for a new TT. A few years back, we owned a unit from Outdoors RV. It seemed well built but was too large for the places we like to camp. We camp as far in the back country that we can in CO/WY/MT. -24ish feet box 24' of box length seems really long to be dragging way up into the hills on unimproved dirt fire roads.

RE: Kind of a dumb question, but I'm new

I'll be going to Camping World locally to have the equipment installed. Don't buy anything from CW, not let their service people attempt to install it. Wait and get it done at the RV dealer you buy the RV from. And don't buy an RV from CW either.

RE: Best Place to Sell Tow Vehicle

I really don't see a high end diesel truck going too well on Facebook, but the clientele might be a higher quality than Craigslist. On the other hand word of . Craigslist is what I consider the bottom barrel for Clientele, FB marketplace maybe a 1/4 step above. Lots of shady folks in FB marketplace too.
