Who is towing with a Chevy Colorado?

I have a friend considering a TT and wants to know about towing with his Chevy Colorado. His truck has the tow package with the bigger engine (not diesel). Thanks, TD

RE: First Time Buyer...Updated 03/06/2006

I am looking to buy my first DP Class A. I have utilized and applied as much of the amazing information provided on this site and have settled on a coach I would like to buy. The unit is a’08 County Coach Inspire Sienna 36’. In this forums opinion what would be a good deal. The asking price is $129,000. How much would be a good counter offer. Would a price drop of 35-40% be reasonable starting point. Hi am a newbie so i am not sure that my post will help, but i am giving you a comparison. We just bought a class A 2007 Fleetwood Revolution it is 40' has a 500HP Cat engine, the interior is in excellent condition really nice couches, beautiful cabinets, older TV's, a bath and a half and we paid $85,000. To me the coach you are looking at seems very high priced Good luck I’m looking at Country Coach as well. The country coach seems to be a much better build quality than Fleetwood coaches. Also, used and list prices are consistently higher on the Country Coach.

RE: Stereo/DVD WIRING

Your Model only has Zone A and Zone B speakers. SO, what I would do is, either designate Living Room/Bedroom as Zone 1 and Outside as Zone 2 to get true stereo separation, or Install a Speaker switch to use The Living Room and Outside on Zone 1 and connect that extra speaker switch to the Outside speakers to turn them ON and OFF. Doug PS, It appears your RV is "wired" correctly since they did not install the correct A/B/C Stereo system. They wired it to kill the Bedroom using the balance. Excellent idea. Thanks.

RE: Stereo/DVD WIRING

Your profile states a 2021 model. MOST newer(last 10 years) Trailers that have 3 sets of speakers, the Stereo itself has "A" "B" "C" speaker control and the Balance will operate on all 3 sets. Some of these Stereo's it is difficult to figure out HOW to engage the 3 speaker switches. BUT, If doing the balance kills 1 set, then it is probably miswired. It is common for the factory installers to miswire the speaker leads. I would take it b ack to the dealer and have THEM fix the wiring problem. POST the Brand and Model of the Stereo for us to give you more help. Doug It’s the Furrion DV 3100, I pulled it to take a look at the wiring. The wires coming from the unit are easily identified since I have the wiring diagram. I’d take it to the dealers but they are so far behind. I’m using the rig almost every week. I’m pretty good with stereos so I’m gonna give it a shot myself.

Stereo/DVD WIRING

My stereo has 3 sets of speakers (2 in the living room, 2 in the bedroom, and 2 outside).. To turn the ones off in the bedroom, I adjust the balance to the right side speakers. This tells me I’m not really getting “stereo” sound I’m the living room. I plan to re-wire it so I have left and right speakers in the living room and bedroom. Is the way mine is wired the norm or, did somebody screw up?

RE: Sink inserts

Buy the cutting board of your choice and cut it to fit using the current board as a template. That’s what I’m looking for now. I know the covers weren’t cutting boards but it sure would be handy if they were. A friend of mine makes all kinds of wood stuff. I’m going to ask if he can make one for me.

Sink inserts

Did any of you have custom cutting boards made to replace the junk inserts that came with your RV? My inserts look fine on the top but water is soaking into the backs. I’m guessing they aren’t going to last long. They are laminate over what looks like particle board. Not made fro cutting on either.

Wider stance wheels

Greetings! My new coach has a wider gap between the wheels. I have it set up in the driveway with just the scissor jacks down and I can’t believe how stable it is. Does the wider spacing make the rig more stable when parked? And, I’m happy to report that we haven’t found any issues .......yet.........

RE: Outdoor Kitchens

Thanks for all the replies! I was concerned about external leaks, but after seeing the coach........... We ended up buying the Coachmen RV Freedom Express Ultra Lite 259FKDS. It’s a beautiful coach and seems to be VERY well made. Travel Safe! TD

RE: Black Water Accident

That's a pretty chitty situation. Reminds of the guy who thought all he had to do was get his drain pipe over the concrete at the dumping station and pull the valves. What a mess that made...........

RE: Outdoor Kitchens

I can't answer that specifically but will say the wife and I originally sought out a trailer with outside kitchen but also wanted two entry doors. We ended up with two entry doors minus the outside kitchen, couldn't find both. We have friends we camp with often with outside kitchen that have reported no issues. Thanks

Outdoor Kitchens

We are looking at a Coachmen Freedom Express. It has an outdoor kitchen and I’m Leary of another leak potential in my camper. Do you have an outdoor kitchen? Any leak problems? Thanks

RE: Mach III plus 13.5 ac fan running backwards?

The Intake is towards the Front. You said it COULD have been the problem Was it? I’d like to be able to confirm but my ceiling cover has intakes on the sides and air vents front and back (if I’m understanding what you mean by intakes). Looks exactly like this one. https://www.rvupgradestore.com/8430-6321-Deluxe-Chillgrille-Ceiling-Assembly-p/41-0008.htm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhYDelfyh6gIVCorICh3WGQwGEAQYAiABEgJCzvD_BwE

RE: Mach III plus 13.5 ac fan running backwards?

Ok now I know Coleman's Suck. but that's the CONDENSER side of things (Outside) where as most A/C's blow.. And I think I FINALLY figured out why but that is another thread. But inside is a squirrel cage blower or so I thought, you turn those puppies backwards they just don't blow they do not blow the wrong way. they just don't blow period. Sounds like you have a baffled baffle or someone installed something cattywompus Specifically.. the ceiling cover The air intake is normally toward the FRONT of the RV and the output to the back. if someone installed the inside cover and a baffle wrong... You get what you got. This could have been the problem. Last season, before I parked the TT, there was a leak around the AC. I took all of the plastic inside off to find it and reassembled. This year, When I found the unit to be running in “reverse“, I disassembled it again. When I put it all back together, it’s certainly possible I rotated the ceiling cover which could have been the problem the whole time............ Live and learn.

RE: Mach III plus 13.5 ac fan running backwards?

There is nothing to cause the motor to run in reverse if you have not touched the system. What you probably have is the DIVIDER Gasket/Plate that separates the Intake from the exhaust has probably fallen over and you are getting the air mixed. Do you have the inside Plenum plate where you remove the Filter and you can see the evaporator? If so, right below the Evap between the Bottom of the upper unit and the filter housing there should be a fiber/gasket type rectangular piece to separate the intake and exhaust. Look at Page 9 where it states Duct Divider. Doug http://old.rvcomfort.com/pdf_documents/1976342.pdf Looking up from inside the camper, nothing was loose or looked out of place.

RE: Coleman Mach III fan running backwards

Do a search for a recent post about this. You posted same question on 6/21. Yea, I couldn’t find it for some reason

RE: Mach III plus 13.5 ac fan running backwards?

I called my electrician brother and he was stumped As well. He asked me if all power had been disconnected while installing and after installing the capacitors (I replaced both). I disconnected all power including the battery and waited for an hour. I fired it back up and now it’s running correctly. Fluke? Maybe but, it was the suggestion from my brother that save me from buying more unnecessary parts. Thanks for the help here. TD
