Propane valve issues

Went to turn on the propane tank in our Winnebago Vista today. Valve would not budge. Tried silicone, tapping with a hammer to no avail. Carefully used a pair of channel locks and it's stuck tight. I suspect that the valve is stuck to the seat. Spent an hour calling around to propane firms, all but one only handle refills no service. The only one that had service was booked for next 3 weeks. Leaving Saturday for an extended trip. Any sugjgestions on how I might free the valve would be appreciated.

Replacement battery caps

I seemed to have lost the battery cap on one side of our Group 65 chassis battery. Ordered some "universal"caps from Ebay that did not fit. Stopped by several auto parts stores. They do not sell new caps and do not have ones that seem to fit my battery. Any suggestions on how to put some kind of caps on would be appreciated.

Sprinter alignment

We are in the process of buying a new Winnebago View on the Sprinter chassis. In our previous RV's on the F53 chassis it was strongly recommended that a wheel aligment was done. Does that hold true for the Sprinter chassis?

Portable surge protector

Looking to get the Progressive portable surge protector for our new RV. I see that they have a bracket for locking it up. Is theft of these units an issue? If so, what suggestions are there for locking it to the pedistal. Thanks for all who share their knowledge.

Back up camera trouble

Back up camera stopped working. Had the camera checked out by RV Cams and it appears to be working. Tech said I should look at the controller? The radio/dvd/cd and back up camera unit was replaced not to long ago. We have a 2015 Winnebago Vista. Any ideas on where the controller might be found? Under the dash?

Dash/seat protection

In the process of getting a Winnebago View. What can I use on the dash board to limit damage from sun/UV? What product can I use as a fabric protector on the front seats?

Adam Graphine ceramic coating

The detailer that does our cars recommended the subject product for our motorhome. Claims a 7 yr lifespan. Online info looks pretty good. Has anyone used this product? Do you still wax the coach?

Back up camera trouble

We have a 2015 Winnebago Vista and the BU camera has stopped working within a 15 minute period. When I put coach in reverse, the dispaly changes to a blank screen. If I select for the camera to be on all the time again, the screen goes blank. Is there any way to test if it is the camera or the display unit? The camera is made by Riverpark, model C10000M, and the display is a Pioneer all in one CD/DVD/radio etc. player. Both camera and Pioneer have been replaced over the last few years.

Winnebago Vista front end noise

We have a 2015 Winnebago Vista that has developed a loud clunking noise coming from the driver side seat area. To date we've been on an expensive easter egg hunt having replaced right side leaf spring and left side leaf spring bushings, all to no avail. The noise is noticed at low speeds when there is some sort of body roll. Coach has the Super steer heavy duty sway bar and radius rods. Currently coach is at a shop that specializes in truck spring/brakes etc. They have spent a lot of time and are at wits end as to the source. Has any one else had this problem or have any ideas?

zero G water hose

We'll be down sizing and I noticed an ad for the Zero G water hose and thought it would help save some space. Does any one have experience with these hoses? Being a thin material I wonder how rugged they are? Do they quickly develop leaks? Thanks to all who share their knowledge.

Best way to sell the coach

We've put in an order for a Winnebago View and will be selling/trading in our RV. I've seen adds in RV magazines for people/firms saying they buy RV's. Has any one used these? Do they offer more than trading in at a dealer.

Paint/fabric protection package

We are in the process of purchasing a Winnebago View from Lichtsinn RV in Iowa. They are trying to sell us a exterior/interior protection package called Protect that is guaranteed for 5 years. No waxing and the bugs come off easily. I got a paint protection on our current RV 5years ago and it lasted 6 months was reapplied and lasted another 6 months. Needless to say, I'm some what leary of these products. Is any one familiar with this product and how well it works?

Winnebago View

We are considering downsizing from our Winnebago Vista to a View. Would like to hear for those that have one on how they like it. Are there any handling issues we need to be aware of like those of F53 Class A chassis? There is not a lot of outside storage. How do people handle this? We're considering getting one of those hitch mount cargo carriers. Thanks to all who share their knowledge.

Winnebago High beam replacement

We have a 2015 Winnebago Vista and the high beam bulb assembly seems to collect condensation which is rusting the reflector lens; you can see dew drops on the lens and a collection of water in the bottom of the assembly. Water is not getting in from elsewhere, as far as I can tell. Has any one else had this problem? How hard is it to replace the assembly; it's on both lamps. One of our previous Winnebagos developed a similar problem but it took longer to show up.

RE: Rotten potato issue

Rotten potato issue

Just found that we had left a potatoe in the RV for the last 2 months in the heat. It was still in the bag, but some of the liquid had leaked out on to the pantry shelf where it seems to have gotten under the wood grain stuff they put over the flake board. What a smell. I've tried Fantastic and bathroom cleaner to no avail. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the odor short of replacing the shelf?

Chrome exhaust for generator

The previous owner Winnebago Vista put a chrome cover over the genereator exhaust. Over the years it has become quite rusted. Would like to get a replacement. Any ideas on where to get this? Any way to salvage the existing one that is quite rust pitted?
