RE: Help finding fresh date Tires

I had mich. 22’s and just went to Toyos. Just a fraction diff n size, much less $ and rode as good as Mich. Date is close to manuf date. Heck, when I got my bus, the orig tires were already 6 months old. Hard to get close to manuf date, but my Toyo dealer did great. $2600, 6 tires, mount, balanced, and out the door. I went in w cash and negotiated, and got a deal $500 less than Michelin’s. I had my orig tires 6.5 years, started sidewall cracking and 22,000 miles. Cash is king. And again, look at Toyos. A pleasant surprise. I just got this week 6 Toyos 255 70R 22.5 M122 Load H tires in the Tucson area Out The Door for $2499 at a well respected local tire dealer for my 05 Monaco Cayman 36 PDQ DP.

RE: New Source of TV While on the Road

The big advantage is that watching TV this way uses NO data on my phone plan, therefore no additional cost. Aren't you still downloading DTV content over the cell internet, thus using your data?

RE: Got a Amazon fire TV stick

Sure can watch directly but need Wi-Fi and may not have cell service in Canada or Alaska so then can play (mirror to the TV via the fireTV stick connected to it) the downloaded ahead of time videos. A little more info on downloading videos from Netflix and Amazon. On Netflix, you can watch videos live on a browser at www.netflix.com but you can't download. Must use a smartphone app or install the Netflix PC app from the Microsoft Store. Now on Amazon, you can only download to a smartphone, not to a PC. I don't use Apple stuff so don't know what works on them.

Got a Amazon fire TV stick

I got an Amazon fireTV stick and love it as I can now download Netflix and Amazon videos to my Samsung S10 phone and then mirror them to my TV via the fire stick. (using the "smart view" setting on the smartphone)(I also put in a 256 GB SD card so I can have lots of movies ready to watch) It is the HD 1080p model. It worked so well thought I would get the 4K model (has a few more features) for my main HD TV and use the HD TV stick in my MH. The 4K model sez will still work on a non 4K TV. Well guess what got the 4K model and it does most things but doesn't mirror from my S10 using "smart view" to the TV via the 4K fire stick. Did a search and found they took that option out when they came out with the 4K model. There are some third-party mirroring apps but couldn't get one to work. Sending it back and getting another 1080p HD model. Buyer beware. I did all this as I am going through Canada and Alaska and cell service may be limited. I know we should be into nature and not TV but may have some rainy days.

RE: LTVA "storage"

We are in northern Montana at the Fresno Res. on Rte 2 on BLM land high up over the Res. and all around were campers that looked they had been there forever. Later a game warden stopped by and we asked him what the deal was, He said the BLM office is so far away they never get out here so the locals know they can just leave their units without any hassles. We got the last decent spot. https://fulltime.hitchitch.com/2016-08-18%2016_49_28-Picasa%203.jpg height=300 width=500

Class A metal roof sealant

I have a Monaco Class A with a metal roof and the sealant is starting to check. Wonder if this is what I should use to reseal it. See pics. Not the whole roof just over the seams. https://www.hitchitch.com/roof1.jpg height=300 width=400 https://www.hitchitch.com/roof2.jpg height=300 width=400 https://www.hitchitch.com/dicor.jpg height=300 width=400

Cell service in Canada

We have Verizon and they talk about turning on TravelPass for $5 a day only charged when actually using your phone when in Canada. Is this what most use or are there other options?

RE: Quartzsite LTVA

Read online the BLM sez they haven't received LTVA stickers yet. So just go in and stay and go back to the entrance stations later when they can check you in. Desert Messenger Yesterday at 1:19 PM · La Posa BLM LTVA area is open for camping. However the permit stickers have not arrived, so entrance stations are closed. Yuma Field office states campers are welcome to camp for free until the stations open. When the flag is raised, the entrance station is open! https://www.blm.gov/office/yuma-field-office https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=Desert%20Messenger&epa=SEARCH_BOX

RE: Problem with Extended Warranty

OP - I wish you luck, and hope your policy is as mentioned, where it specifically spells out what is 'not included', and thus all other items should be covered. Agree that WW will be your friend in determining if it's an appropriate item the Insurance/Warranty company should be covering. I'd suggest out of fairness to WW, that you send a request to a Moderator to change the title to state Problem With Extended Warranty - not WW:)! And not to add to your pain, but maximize the labor costs involved in the removal, and have other items tested on your dime, replace and or refurbish as needed.... Best, Smitty Thanks for the suggestion I changed the Topic title as WW did come through for us. I'm very happy with them. The radiator is coming from Source Eng. Eugene, OR and also on my dime an upgraded fan from them. Jim out there is great to work with and also did my trailing arms and ride enhancement kit.

RE: Problem with Extended Warranty

An update The warranty issuing company has stood up for us and has now approved the claim and the new radiator is being built. The warranty company Wholesale Warranties is now bypassing the claims administrator company and handling it all with the repair shop. We have been stuck here for almost two weeks just getting up to this point. I recommend WW they were very helpful in getting this resolved.

Wholesale Warranties has approved the claim and will deal directly with the repair shop instead of going through Strategic Administrators. I highly recommend WW. They listened and acted and took care of the issue.

RE: Warrantiy claim denied

I think I would consider another shop for the repairs. I don't believe they are very bright or honest. Can't move as the radiator is disconnected and this is the only repair shop in town.

RE: Problem with Extended Warranty

The problem isn't with Wholesale Warranties but the repair facility telling the claim insurance broker that the cause was a stuck thermostat when they had not even tested it. I appealed to the WW claim service help. Warranty company sent out an independent inspector and he tested the thermostat and found it to be good. And he said even if it was bad it would not cause the radiator to fail. So waiting for the warranty company to get his report and get back to me. WW has been very responsive and helpful with this.
