RE: Need your help, ideas

TxGearhead, thanks for the reply. Right now we use a folding stool. I get out and go around and put the stool on the ground for Brenda. We will figure something out.

RE: Need your help, ideas

bighatnohorse, thanks for the reply We have used a folding stool like the one you gave the link to I guess we will be using it more often now. Have to put some kind of string, strap on it so Brenda can pick it up when she is in the truck alone. And to be able to lower it to the ground when she wants to get out of the truck.

RE: A add-on for the almost blind old guy

Pete_k, thanks for the reply. As I mentioned in my post the tc only moves a smidge. I DO NOT USE THE ROOLERS to move the tc. Brenda has to in the center before I tell her to backup. I know that you can't move the jacks that much, Yes, something will break.

Need your help, ideas

Good afternoon. We have a Silverado 3500HD, duals, 4x4. Kinda a high step up to the running board for Brenda. Not so much for me. Brenda is of short Stature. Well early this summer Brenda was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Stepping up to the running board is bit harder now. I came up with the idea of maybe adding a second step to the running board. 2 steps up into the truck. Any thoughts, help, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

RE: What did you do to your Camper Today?

The STABLE CAMPER arrived the other day. It will be installed shortly. Easy install. Easy to use. Will help take a lot of the movement out when the tc is off the truck. When we are going to stay at a site for awhile we usually take the tc off the truck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoAWto_NkOg

RE: How to change GSC badge to read LIFE MEMBER?

QCMan, thanks for the reply. It used to say LIFE MEMBER, until I updated my signature. To the current info I posted. The truck camper. That is when it changed to rv club member. I only have one number, I have been a Life Member for years. 10+ years. Maybe it will correct someday. I like your quote. "plenty of time to roam." NICE.

How to change GSC badge to read LIFE MEMBER?

I hope I am posting this question in the right forum. I am a LIFE MEMBER, but it says I am Good Sam Rv Club Member. How do I change it to read LIFE MEMBER? Thank you for your help.

RE: A add-on for the almost blind old guy

MORSNOW, thanks for the reply nice rig, nice campsite. I am glad I put the Camper Cradle on. After only 2 times of using it, I can tell it really solved our centering problem. . I am going to look at the Happijack centering bar.

RE: A add-on for the almost blind old guy

wnjj, thanks for the reply. I was not comfortable with making the Fastguns that tight. At the last stop on the way home from the MO State Rv Rally, Good Sam, I took off the Fastgums off so I could level the tc because the campsite was not level. The front passenger Fastgun would not come off because the tc had move to the drivers side so much it was to tight. When we got home the tc had move back and I was able easily to removed the Fastgun.

RE: Who is a Full Timer with a Camper?

AS i mentioned in a post above. The Lance 1172 that we have now, is my 4th tc. Years ago I had a couple of ReaLite 1200 with side entry. I knew I would always have a side entry.

RE: Who is a Full Timer with a Camper?

We have a 2020 Lance 1172 , 2 slides. WE are getting ready to become almost full timers. Wandering the country. Well that is the plan. This is my 4th tc. This is Brenda's first tc. We have been together for 4 1/ 2 years now. I am 77, Brenda is 70. Having the time of our lives. Brenda found ours on rvtrader. Used one time. Previous owner said they thought it was not big enough. So they said they were going to replace it with a 43' class A diesel pusher. Do you think that will be enough BIG? We chose the Lance 1172 because of the two slides. The rear slide has a couch, which was a must. Not recliners tho. It does have the piece that come our and up to hold your calf. For Brenda it is a recliner because she is so short. I use a foot rest out past the leg lift and I am comfortable. The bed is not to high for us. And I have bad knees.. We really like it. Good luck on your hunt. You will find what is perfect for you Thank You for your service. Brenda and Bill 2014 Silverado 3500 HD CC 4x4 8' bed Duals Dura Max 6 speed Allison LTZ 2020Lance 1172 The old signature below is so outdated I have tried several times to delete it but the site won't change it.
