RE: Roof coatings.

Oops. Tried to do a quote, but went without my comments. I justy had the same spray on done to my 5th wheel & it is awesome. Very tough and durable, and eliminates the caulk maintenence around the seams and protrusions. It is a one piece seamless product once finished.

RE: Roof coatings.

Anyone familiar with RV Armor, Flex Armor Gaco or other liquid roof coating? I suffered some damage to my roof and am being told I need a whole new roof. It's only 4 years old but I understand a dealer service shop needs to cover their butts if they are going to guarantee a new repair installation. Is the liquid roof stuff a good option? It's almost half the cost of a new TPO or EDPM membrane. Any insight here? This is what I put on my 5th wheel. IMHO nothing better. FlexArmor

RE: Best RV trip planner

I use RV Trip Wizard. Works great for me. Only caveat is that it is not free.

The Demco 21k Premier double pivot. https://www.demco-products.com/rv-towing/hijacker-5th-wheel-hitches/premier-series/21-k-double-pivot I have this one and it is excellent.

RE: Diesel truck issues - thinking of going to gas

What you are saying doesn't necessarily make sense. None of the issues that you are having have any bearing whatsoever to the diesel engine. It's kind of like "I'm having a lot of problems at work, so I'm going to go home and kick the dog & divorce my wife". The issues are with the front end and transmission which would be the exact same with a gas engine, unless you went with a heavy duty 3500 and ordered it with the Aisin transmission. That however comes with a diesel engine. There is always the possibility of issues with any model or brand of truck. I previously had a Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel and absolutely loved it. I moved to a Ford because I needed 4 wheel drive, and the cabin is much larger and more comfortable inside for my family, but my F350 is awesome also. In an ideal world, it would be great to order trucks like the big rigs where you could specify individual components, Then I would get the Ford body, Cummins engine, and Allison transmission. You would be better served if you identified what is most important to you for a vehicle and went from there. Again, the diesel engine is not the source of your problems, but if you would rather have gas, then go for it.

RE: hitch question

Just as a point of reference. I have the Demco Hijacker Premier 16k hitch. The reason I bought it is because at has a wrap around Jaw AND a safety bar that slides across when hitched up. This to me is the most secure attachment I've been able to find. I did look at B&W due to all the good reviews, but settled on the Hijacker which had equally good reviews, and a double locking system.
