RE: B&W pivot arm adjustment

You can change the position by rotating the base of the hitch 180*. There is no need to mess with the bolts on the hitch except for the labels that can be seen. So you can try it both ways without touching a wrench.

RE: Travel trailer door needs shortened

I cut the bottom off of the entry door and screen door after installing the Morryde steps on our 2008 Cardinal and a 2011 Jayco that belongs to a friend. You will find that screen door is simple. If you remove the screen the bottom will pull right off. You can then cut the door down and reinstall the bottom. The exterior door is not much harder, The bottom is screwed or rivited on. after removing it you will likely have to use a jig saw to cut the frame while the inside skin, usually vinyl, can be cut with sheet metal cutters. The outside skin is fiberglass and is easiest cut with the jig saw and a fine tooth metal cutting blade.

RE: Drop commode seal question

Dometic says to put hot tap water in the bowl. I have done this twice and both time the seal started holding water again.

RE: Fold up stairs blocking door

My Cardinal has the Morryde steps from the factory. The brackets for the traditional fold out steps are on the frame. It would be simple to bolt on the folding steps and cut the aluminum skirt, istall some trim and remove the Morryde steps. Look under your trailer, the brackets may be there.

RE: Your experience with a Dually vs SRW hauling 5ver

Previous vehicle 2011 F350 SRW 6.7 diesel crew cab 6 1/5' bed. Present vehicle 2017 F350 DRW 6.7 diesel crew cab 8' bed. Both towing Cardinal fiver weighing 12,400 empty. The 2011 SRW towed the fiver well. The 2017 tows the fiver great. There is a noticable difference in stability in strong winds and curvy roads with the DRW. I am not constantly steering the truck. Something that I never really noticed until I changed vehicles. If you have a SRW and never towed with a DRW then you will most likely be satisfied with what you have.

RE: Looking for a durable air mattress

Take a look at Air Dream. They are made for hide-a-beds. They have different sizes. I used one for several years on our hide-a-bed, it held up well, no leaks, inflates and deflates fast and very comfortable.

RE: Question on Selling FW Hitch

Sold the Andersen, no rails. The guy had a slider and wanted to replace it with Andersen, so he already had rails in his truck.

RE: Towing capacities aren't realistic, completely unachievable

Remember the days of the heavy Holiday Ramblers, Hitch Hikers and Carriage fivers that were towed with the trucks made in the 80s? What has changed?

RE: Setting Up Tow Vehicle w/hitch, Etc

My SIL uses the Andersen Ultimate with his Magacab short bed. He is towing a Heartland Sundance with no problems.
