Cedar Creek GM / President info

Looking to see if anyone has updated contact info for GM / President of Cedar Creek. The contact I had is a now a generic voicemail.

The wheels are 16," and are required to run at 110 psi per the manufacturer. I will probably just continue to use my aftermarket TPMS on the 5th wheel if I can't set them to the correct pressure in the truck. Silliest thing I’ve heard in a while. You really want your TPMS to alarm you at 109 psi? 1 psi under what you think it should be? ROFL No, he does NOT want it setting off the alarm constantly because the tires are 10PSI over pressure. Exactly...

I just watched a video showing how to set up factory TPMS for trailer on GM trucks. It says you can program (in the truck) tire pressures between 50 psi - 100 psi. My 5th wheel tires require 110 psi. Has anyone experienced a higher pressure beyond the 100 psi?

RE: Bed cover for 2022 F350 8" when NOT towing

I previously had a Pace Edwards Full Metal on my 2008 truck and it worked well. Just took delivery of my 2022, spoke to an accessory dealer that informed me that basically there are 2 companies that bought up all independent bed cover companies including Pace Edwards. This go around I went with Roll N Lock, as Pace Edwards didn't show any inventory would have to be built when ordered. My fear was if needing parts may be difficult to get, also went with Roll N Lock as recommended from 2 different accessary shops. Also there were limited options for an 8 foot bed. So far so good with Roll N Lock.

Tire Traker, excellent customer service.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

Shadows4 - I called the repair guy that originally did the repair for my dealership. He basically told me, he can't be responsible for anything beyond 1 year. I also called someone I was put in contact with that does fiberglass / body work. He told me the issue was caused by not prepping the area properly, which would cause the fade and clear coat to peel. I haven't decided if I'm going to have it repaired yet or not, but one thing is for sure, I will not be taking it back to the guy the dealership uses...

RE: Portable Hitches

Truck is a 2006 Dodge Heavy 2500 with the Cummins diesel. Thanks. Long bed Pullrite Super Fifth. Short bed Pullrite Super Glide. For both Pullrite under bed mount gives you a clean bed when hitch is out. C.B. Agreed. For your truck there are not that many clean bed options. I had a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 with the short bed and a Pullrite Superglide. At the end of the year I pulled 8 pins and lifted the hitch out of the bed. It is easiest if you have a hoist as the hitch is not light. If no hoist it may cost you a beer for your helper. Not that heavy for two people. X3

RE: Fifth wheel length question

I went from a 28' Travel trailer, to a 38' 5th wheel, now have a 40' 5th wheel. I liked the 38'er over what I have now...would even consider a 36'.

GMC 3500 DRW

Anyone make any modifications to the tire valves on a GMC / Chevy 3500 DRW? Outer and inner wheel I find are difficult to air up and check do the location of valves on aluminum wheels. I am planning on adding extensions to inner wheels, but outer valve faces inward making access somewhat awkward.

RE: Small piece of gasket coming loose on frameless window

Do you know the brand of the window? You will probably get further contacting the window manufacturer rather then the RV manufacturer.

RE: Do you unhook for the night?

We do not unhook for overnight stops when traveling long distance. One of the other reasons we went with a dually. We too unplug from the truck.

RE: New couch ideas ???

We purchased recliners at Costco. They were small enough to fit in place of the couch and the backs also come off.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

When it was originally repaired, I presumed the repair would be good to go. If it was repaired properly, I shouldn't have to determine a warranty period at all.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

Doug - You explained the exact procedure on how to repair from someone else I spoke too. What is the expectancy of the repair in your mine if the repair is done correctly should last as long as the rest of the cap. Also, not sure I'm following you with the paper trail, when I noticed it out of the gate, I brought it to dealer's attention, they made arrangements to repair. Bottom line is, it was not done properly and here I am.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

I have no problem working with them. Only guaranteeing this for 90 days seems crazy. I guess what amazes me, is when you're in the market they promise you the world...different story once you hand them the check...

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

Barney - Four years to me is unacceptable. I've machine polished my vehicles regularly, so the issue is not maintenance related, as the clear coat is peeling. After looking into this more, I've come to find out the gelcoat wasn't prepped properly before the repair.

I have a call into the company that did the repair. I have not heard back yet.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

We previously had a Jayco Eagle 5th wheel (2008), that had issues arise just out of warranty. I contacted my dealer, who worked with me contacting Jayco directly, and they stood behind their product. The difference is, the issue with Cedar Creek happened while it was new. Manufacturers that stand behind their product line is what keeps people coming back.

RE: Cedar Creek rear cap cracks

When I searched for a contact number for Cedar Creek, the only thing that kept coming up was a message stating to contact your dealer for any questions / issues. I then looked in a manual for a contact number, the only number I found was a contact number for Forest River.
