RE: Tag axle question

My Tiffin Zephyr on a Spartan K2 chassis had the drive wheels and the tag wheels the same. The drive axle was dually of course and the tag was single. They were both positioned the same.

RE: Who's hitting the road this summer?

When traveling or camping I just use my own bathroom. That way if I leave it messy, my wife will clean it up.. JUST KIDDING!!!

RE: Yellowstone in October

Is YS having crowds right now? The few pics and video I see show it is empty compared to most years. Why not go now?

RE: Good Sam's Logo

That will do it. I don't worry about sending in dues. I did it once 26 years ago.

RE: Poll: How many 1T TC haulers have no modifications?

I did run a arctic fox 1140 on a stock 2011 Ram 3500 and then it went on a 2016 stock Ram 3500. I then traded for a Host mammoth and ran it on the stock 2016 Ram 3500. I wanted to pull a trailer at times so I traded for a 2018 Ram 5500. I ran the Host on it, all stock!

RE: Fridge won't fit

I had a new RV 4 door fridge put in my Zephyr DP. They removed the dinette window to get it out and the new one in and it was very tight.

RE: Mounting a truck camper on a chassis truck.

I put tool boxes under my wings so it held the camper along with a thick rubber matt under it and the fast guns to the rub rails.

RE: Why are people not opening new campgrounds/RV parks?

Cost of land, environmental regulations, permits, water and sewer lines, electric service, road grading, landscaping, more permits, more regulations. Probably more permits and regulations I haven't thought of. Plus on top of all that you are paying taxes before you even open the park. This right here. I have been a developer for 30 years and it's tough.

RE: What TC truly sleeps 4 adults ?

It's not for me at all. I just answered the OP question. I camp in a 45' DP. I like a lot of room.

RE: What TC truly sleeps 4 adults ?

I have seen class C's that sleep 10. 2 in the back, 2 in the big bunk up front, 2 in separate bunk beds, 2 on the fold out couch, and 2 in the dinette. These are around 30 feet long, Not much more than a crew cab 8 foot bed truck with 2.5 feet of overhang from TC. Just a thought. The scout TC with a pop top will sleep 4-6.

RE: Anyone traveling yet

Just booked 7 nights at Disney world for July................ Wear a mask and stay away from the shoulder to shoulder crowded places. Disney World would be the last place I would go to. Too many people. My son who lives in Miramar, Florida says the virus is still every where, but the governor wants to open everything up. From what I see on the news FL was the model that all states should have followed. Protect the older people. My own state did not do that nor did NY and look at the results.

RE: Family National Parks Road Trip

As usual the retired crowd screams you need months to do that trip. I have been to every place on your list way more than once and I'm not retired. Both of my kids have been out west(and it's a drive for me, PA) At 23 and 27 they still want to travel with us and the older one is already looking for her own RV. Take the trip as planned and have a great time, your kids will love it and talk about it forever. Mine still do. Older one is considering doing a trip for the honeymoon this fall. When your not retired sometimes you have to push it a little. I did Alaska in 5 weeks from PA. Awesome trip, but I was told it couldn't be done by ,many.
