You call it the most boring race in history but admittedly only watched 20 laps?

Yep...now read the rest of my post. It didn't take the whole race for me to decide it was gonna' be boring watching 4-5 screens on 4 drivers.

Now if I had known what what Flatbroke found on the regular NBC channel I might have replied differently.

Saw Kyle on the Fox business channel this morning with Stuart Varney, he did an excellent job of representing a Champion. As a long time fan of the Busch brothers I was pleased at the way he conducted himself.

Jimmie Johnson announces retirements after the 2020 season.
Got to find a new guy, if we can’t Kyle Busch in a Chevy I guess I’ll go with Chase Elliot. [emoticon]

You only have to be 16th best to get into the Chase. Anything can happen after that.
I'd hate to see Petty's and Dale Sr's record broken that way.
JJ is a heck of a driver, I understand that. Times have changed, he's smart to move on.

I have a feeling that the Chevys will be much more competitive next year,so JJ may be able to turn things around but the top four are gonna be hard to beat. Then you have some of the young guns who want their place in the sun too, especially Blaney and Elliot. Should make for some interesting races.

I like JJ but when his 7 time cup winning crew chief decided to look for a new driver, the writing was on the wall. Too bad, I would have liked to see him get that elusive 8 championship.

Chad Knaus was ahead of the competition, for many years he was one half of a "dream team". A good driver, in order to win, has to be in a racecar that has a mechanical advantage, over the competition. When, the "speed secrets" that Knaus had were no more, Jimmy Johnson no longer was/is a threat. He still can drive a racecar, but in order to win he needs a better/faster car. The number of fast/winning racecars is FAR fewer than winning drivers.

But Cloud, has JJ been getting the best that Hendrick MS has to offer?? Or has it been scaled back and given to one of the younger drivers? We all know no matter what team, equipment and horsepower is not always equal across the team. And besides within the team, Chevy as a whole, has been sucking hind boobie.
