Jimmie J gets COVID-19, can’t do the Indy race. Lot of folks on social media want him to delay retiring until next year because all the 2020 hype. I say run, not walk to the exit door when the year is out.

Right now Jimmie has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone about his talent, skills or career. And unlike some drivers, he seems to have a solid plan and solid financial condition to let him move on to another part of life.

Good luck.

I saw the Xfinity race at INDY (road course). I actually saw some racing.

Jimmie should retire as planned. The way things are going, there will be just as few fans next year if they don't change course.

IMO nobody is minding the big store. IMO we have to wait until this great depression is over. I'm impressed that NASCAR is still operating. GO KYLE BUSCH!

I would have liked to see Kenseth win Indy. Other than Joey everybody always liked him. I didn't realize that Indy was the only major he never won.
It's interesting to watch which teams unload better than the others. Without the testing and qualifying is making a big difference, it really brings out the talent of the crew chiefs.

Bucky, luck also has a lot to do with it. Without at least an hour of practice, there is no telling what the Badyear Tires are going to do. Also, how many times had Brandon Poole been on the pit lane at Indy. It is a recipe for disaster.

Good point about the tires. I thought Ford had snuck (sneaked?) some wall magnets into the Toyotas.

Maybe the problem is us. We are the ones who would like to see some good racing. And, we would like to see certain drivers in the winning circle. IMO the main problem is NOT NASCAR. IMO right now the problem is that a safe practical way of having spectators in the grandstands has not been found. Therefore, we should discuss the SECOND problem.
