Newbie here but how can I pick up Wi-Fi on my phone, computer or smart tv inside my camper. For example just messing with it in my driveway I can seek my home Wi-Fi with about 1 bar sometimes 2. How can I improve that signal from inside my camper?

Lots of options from a basic antenna to antenna with amplifier to more advanced directional antenna with better amplifiers. Google is your friend with many options available.

I have a old linksys wrt54g v.2 wireless router, that i hear you can do a firmware flash at dd-wrt.com and use it with external antenna to repeat and boost wifi signals in camp grounds and such. I have looked at the site and not sure which file to use.

there is this for unit for sale at https://www.jefatech.com/collections/jefa-tech-wifi-repeaters/products/rv-repeater-kit which is what i am trying to do but have the linksys already..

this is the one for this unit to use but not sure which..

Great site with tons of info about cellular and WiFi

He has a very inexpensive WiFi booster DYI that works great. I use it all the time to access McDonalds, Panera Bread, and huindreds of other WiFi hotspots while on the road. I even find that during the day, many campground wifi systems are fine. At night they tend to get overloaded.

If you go with the system described in the outside our bubble YouTube video, and want the Air Gateway (and the Nanostation) to run on 12V, this power supply is a plug & play substitute for the 120V power supply supplied with the Nanostation. The plastic "lock" supplied with the original combination won't work with the 12V supply, but a rubber band takes care of that.

Campground wifi is getting better and better all the time as more and more of us are demanding good internet access. As you travel, read reviews of the campgrounds at rvparkreviews.com. Many people will indicate how the wifi was which is helpful in picking a place with good usable wifi.

Use a Wi-Fi Ranger. this is a 2 device setup. The outdoor device acts like a cable modem, only instead of cable it is a Wi-FI adapter. The inside deice is arouter Wi-Fi or Wir4ed in my case.

Takes some getting used to for setup as you move about.. but works well,.

Just because you are able to connect to a CG WiFi system does not mean it will be usable...

More often than not these systems are virtually useless due to limited bandwidth because of those who are trying to stream their favorite TV shows. This why those of us who really want internet access get our own hot spot device or use our smart phone as a hotspot.

You are in a metal box, metal blocks radio waves like wifi, you need an RV wifi repeater such as those sold by wifi ranger (there are others too)
