Pleated day/night shade cleaning/reforming

The day/night shades on my rig have a sheer fabric day section and a solid paper night section. Both sections need cleaning and the paper section needs reforming to fold properly. There are a number of good tips on the web for cleaning the fabric section, including use of spray starch to reform the folds, but little specifically on the paper section.

Does anyone have any experience on cleaning the soiled paper section of these shades?

I have never seen one that has a paper section so of course have never tried cleaning one. Vacuum and try a brand new eraser in a small area to see how it does. Lightly dampened cloth? Change to mini blinds and throw them out? Not sure how I would tackle that.
