Moose Jaw or Regina

We will be taking the Trans Canada back east to the US and an evening weigh over stop will be in the vicinity of Moose Jaw/Regina.

I expect we will arrive in the early afternoon giving us time to do a quick explore of one or the other for dinner, drinks.

Moose Jaw campgrounds include Peanut Hills, while Kings Acres in Regina looks promising.

I am looking for advice as to which would be the best choice for an evening layover?

Thanks

Thanks to all for the update. We did wind up staying at Prairie campground in Moose Jaw, which I would recommend.

Unfortunately we arrived late and the Tunnel area was closed, but we did unhitch the toad and tool about.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I vote for Moose Jaw as well. There is a lovely campground on the south side of town called River Park Campground.

I'm currently at King's Acres. Low voltage is a problem for their 30 amp sites, so if you end up there pay the extra fee for a 50 amp if one is available. They charge for their showers.

The Walmart does allow overnights in Moose Jaw.
Regards, Don
My ride is a 28 foot Class C, 256 watts solar, 556 amp-hours of Telcom jars, 3000 watt Magnum hybrid inverter, Sola Basic Autoformer, Microair Easy Start.

Agree with flyboy....Moose Jaw is the best choice and agree with prairie oasis. Tunnels are great if you have time.

I recommend Moose Jaw. Prairie Oasis just up the road and a little further off the hiway may be a bit quieter.
There is an interesting museum on Main St just south of the hiway...by the big Moose statue!! Casino downtown. "Tunnels of Moose Jaw" tourist thing is well worth the time and $$$. Google Tourism Moose Jaw for info on everything. Good restaurants in the downtown core.
