west coast vs east coast construction

When searching websites for RV locations I have to select west coast or east coast and I'm wondering if there's a difference in their construction from the factory. It appears some models are not available from dealers in both areas. Does anyone know why and if it's something we should be aware of during our selection of an RV? We live in Southern California and don't typically RV in very cold climates so would either west or east coast units work okay for us?

I've just noticed a lot of websites differentiate between west and east coast models and some of the floor plans I like I can't find available in California. We'll check out the RV Show in Pomona in a few weeks and see what we can find. Thanks everyone for your input.

I'm not sure who makes an RV on the east coast anymore, Keystones are actually made in Goshen, In. they should be available in the west as they bought 2 former Fleetwood plants in Oregon.

Often it's also which manufacturers the big guys gobbled up, of they bought a western manufacturer who had a floor plan that sells well they might keep it on the books to keep dealers and customers happy.

Same construction.....difference is in 'models' offered.

Most likely just regional marketing differences based on customer requests for certain features. There's probably not much demand in the Northeast for models with Southwestern decor...
