COE Parks host positions gone?

I did have a website that listed the positions at all of the COE parks for camp host. We had considered trying to compete for one or two of these. Have all of these positions become volunteer?

I had this in workamping, and this stinking tablet blinked and the forum changed. Please move.

For our summer jobs at Cape Cod they open the bidding for it sometime over the winter. Before that it won't show any jobs available.

COE in some districts was trying to eliminate all paid host positions and replace then with volunteers. We were doing some vol work for them, and ended up having to do all of our work, plus the gatekeeping jobs, making reservations, manageing all the money, and everything else. That is why we do not do that any more.

Thanks, was aware of that one Rocky, but we wanted to look for paid positions for a summer and then continue to do Veteran volunteering in the winters.

The COE had a post on their West Point Lake (GA) facebook page the other day advertising the position with a link on how to apply. Hopefully this link will work.

Thanks Wowens, That was just for one area but it gave me the terminology I needed.

Its not that easy. The camp host are not employees, they are contractors handled through a different set of websites.
