Driving down the freeway got the message for low fuel pressure. Few seconds later in to limp mode. Barely got off the freeway safely. AAA towed my truck to the Dealer. My HPFP grenaded at 9300 miles!! Took the injectors with it along with a myriad of other junk. And I do mean JUNK. 2016 Suer Duty with 9300 miles!!! I'm done!! Back to gas!! Don't care if I only climb the mtns at 45 MPH!!! [emoticon][emoticon][emoticon]

Really sucks!!!THAT is the BIGGEST reason to not own a Ford Diesel. I really hope they don't try to F you over as they have some in the past.

I highly suggest checking out a GM or RAM as neither have that problematic injection pump. GM recently dumped their same pump and went Denso after getting sick of warranty claims.

RAM has not had any issues with their current Bosch pump.

I would also consider a Ford Gasser if in the market but towing is for Diesels!!!

That sucks. Hope they get you fixed up fast. Just be glad you have warranty. Can you imagine what that will cost the next guy to own that truck when/if it happens again? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If history repeats itself then warranty may not matter as Ford will claim contaminated fuel. I sure hope not, not with those miles. OP, I sincerely hope the dealer and Ford take care of you. Best of luck!

What REALLY sucks is if they deny then it's a claim against your auto policy!

Huh [emoticon] Didn't know GM went to Denso and ditched the Bosch CP4. I remember reading they had the same issues as Ford but that GM was more likely to just file it under warranty and no argue with customers.

Ford has a history of sticking owners with the bill for grenaded CP4 pumps and fuel system damage. Hopefully they don't try that with the OP.

Is that pronounced 'sewer duty' ? [emoticon]

Anyway 45 up the hills is optimistic at times. I get down to 30 at least once a year.
I am looking forward to an electric truck.

GM switched pumps in their 2017 redesign. Had they already done so on their 2015 models I might be driving a Duramax right now. At the time I bought my Ram I really felt like it was the only viable heavy duty diesel option. It's been a great truck aside from a failed water pump and too many recalls. Unfortunately all vehicles have their pros and cons.

sucks for the OP, i'm sure you will get taken care of. For every denied claim we hear about on the internet i'm sure there 100+ that are taken care of without issue. In speaking to my dealer, they have only had 5 pumps go bad in the last 7 years and all but one were warrantied - the one that didn't had more water in the tank than diesel!
