Hard to tell if it is good or bad. I don't know anything about REV. Experience tells me buyouts are not good for customers (witness what happens to independent RV manufacturers when they are bought out by Thor or Forest River). Time will tell.

“Lance Camper designs, engineers and manufactures its lineup of innovative, high quality, and customer-centric products from its state-of-the-art campus in Lancaster, CA.”
That’s all going to end unfortunately. I can only guess at the amount of the monthly check Lance’s manager must to mail every month to repay for the buyout.

Fleetwood doesn't exist, right? Are you saying the company that bought Lance is garbage? From what I've read, there are very few RV parent companies any more.

You always wonder if the new owners keep the same staff and workers??? Hard to tell about the future in these kinds of buy-outs.
We own a 2008 Lance, and have had good luck with it ... and have met some of the folks at the factory, and been there for a repair under warranty when we first bought it new.
We left the east coast, had a problem with the Fridge on the road, and it happened - conveniently in California - so we ended up at the factory. The service guys replaced almost every part on the Fridge, just to be sure, and inspected and tested every component on the camper while we camped in the driveway overnight, with electric power HU. They replaced a couple more things, again, just to be sure.
Have not had any issues with it since - except minor tweaks, and maintenance.
Time will tell us how the new owners will perform.

I've been always strong admirer of "family tradition" business.
Big corporations have the same production rules what communism did.

They are keeping the original owners on (at least for now) so almost looks like a deal to get Lance more buying power for materials / supplies and a retirement package in the future for the current owners. Only time will tell if they are going to do away with redundant staff in areas like sales and warranty. Could be good for the company / customer or like others have said the start of a slide but only time will tell.

It may be too soon to tell if it will be good or bad. The common wisdom (word on the street for years was that AMF ruined Harley when they bought the company....but they later sold the company and most now agree it would not exist today if AMF had not bought the company. Just saying...
BTW - I don't have a dog in the fight except as a TC owner!
