PSA... Toyo 19.5 tire sale

I needed a pair of Toyo m608z 245/70r19.5 tires. Les Schwab no longer carries these. I have 2 basically brand new ones, and two pretty well worn ones. Anyhow I looked on line and one of the largest truck tire internet retailers has them for a fair price. If you select add coupon at the checkout, and use toyo 15, you get 15% off. Free shipping as well. They had other tread patterns and sizes as well. If I needed 4, I would look hard at the 920. The 608s don't last that well for me. It was 715 delivered for the pair. I'm not sure I can post the business name, but your search should be Simple 😉

I backed off the Double Coins once I saw their low speed ratings on the 245/70r19.5 sizes...

Double Coin RLB490, 245/70r19.5, speed rating 'K' = 68mph
Double Coin RLB1/RLB11, 245/70r19.5, speed rating 'J' = 62 mph
Double Coin RT600, 245/70r19.5, speed rating 'K' = 68 mph
Double Coin RT600, 225/70r19.5, speed rating 'M' = 81mph

Looking at Hankook & Continental now for 19.5's. Toyo's are in the running too.

I may have to look too. The Michelin also does not show a steel sidewall,one has one. I did not recall dealer saying so, or seeing it on sidewall. For my fronts. In my use application it's not a big deal. Rear tires yes.

The Toyo 608 vs 920 traction. Both look good. The 608 look like a better off road mud deep snow slush tire. The 920 for those on here with on road rv pullers, the 920 is a bit less aggressive, but with the but in micro spies in smaller tread blocks, this would be A great road traction tire. Also quieter due to smaller closer together traction blocks.

“If” you have someone in your location to mount/balance......consider buying from Simpletire. They have very good prices, and can get you just about any tire you want!

We’ve purchased 17.5 Continental’s for the camper and 19.5 Hankook’s for our Dodge, from Simple.....very pleased with them.

I too have the RT600, but a 225-70-19.5. I could find nothing online that showed build construction. Other than a general one at DC's website, which showed only 4 steel belts on the tread. No steel in sidewall, but polyester or equal.

I would not say DC is a bad tire, its not sold as the top tier tire from what I can see. A decent bang for the buck tire.

I'll have to look up my front tires on navistar. I think these a steel tread only....
These are a hwy tread. Would not want on the rear unless I was strictly highway with NO chance of snow or ice.
I have probably the single Michelin tire I will buy, not sure of the new version, XDE M+S. These work well in mud and snow.

I've had M55 Toyo on the rear of a dw 3500, got 90k out of them. For how hard I am on tires, that's 25+k miles more than I normally get with anything else.

I got about 1/3rd the life from Double Coins vs 608Zs, and they don't grip as well. On or off road.

I have 245/70-19.5 Double Coin RT600. They are all steel.

Four Coins aren't bad tires for the price. With that said.....I personally have not found a DC with an all steel case like Toyo, Michelin or Cooper has in 19.5" tires. They may make one.....

You're mileage and search may prove me wrong.
