i down loaded a manual, but it refers to several different size systems

I need to know which one, so i can look up the part numbers

i don't kown if these are 9000#, 12000# or 16000# jacks

i 'think' they are 12000#

my new coils came in
and i replaced both 'rear jack valve coils' the one that broke and the one that didn't

the OEM ? coils are Hyraforce INC PN 6351012 with a date code of 4396
considering that would be the 43rd week of 1996, i believe these are the original OEM coils used by powergear

i put male spade terminals n the ends of the wires, mounted them, plugged them in, and they work perfectly

i still have to address the 'severe leak' issue of the curbside rear jack
I can explain it to you.

I have had rebuild kits put on my two front jacks. The left rear is leaking now. I ordered two kits knowing that they would be used sooner or later on the rear. I sent you a PM>

removed the broken coil from the valve
and inspected the other (2) coils

they are dirty, but not ready to break and fail

they are all (3) hydraforce coils, the brand that i ordered
except i ordered the ones with a wiring pigtail instead of the push on spade lugs

That's what i did measured the Jack
And compared it to the spec listings for that style Jack

I don't have the work bench and big vise for the DIY fix

There hard part (for me) will be getting it off the RV
Already sprayed the bolts with Kroil penetrate

@Mr. Wizard:

Ahh, yea, I have seen that style jack before. Can't remember for sure where...

That replacement coil should work fine even if it's not an exact substitute (within reason that is). The pigtails make for a long lived installation.

Looks like you got it all sorted out. Thanks for the info!

Powergear makes rebuild kits for their jacks. You will need a heavy duty Bench Vise and possibly a torch to break the old collar loose. The rebuild kits come with a new lower collar that has a grease zirc. I would buy the rebuild kit and then let the local rebuild shop install if you do not have the tools to do the job. Powergear jacks also have springs. Some are internal and some are on the outside like you have. You usually measure the length and diameter to determine which kit you need for your jack. Unless you still have the yellow p/n label still legible on the jack. Doug

i've got the tools to do the solder tab bit, but while looking for coils, i found a link to a 'commercial/industrial' replacement, with pigtail wires
and ordered (2) for $45 total, one for the broken one, one for a spare
i might order another, replace all three, and be done with it

coil replacement for PN 500099

BTW
here is my jack style on ebay

Take it to a hydraulic shop and they can rebuild it for you. I take my jacks off myself and just take the jack in. My son and I repaired the last one. Any place that sells hydraulic seals can match them.
