It's too bad she didn't know about the other drivers problem since all she had to do is let off and coast for that round one win.

They say she got back in the throttle before it was aimed exactly straight down the track.

That was one impressive crash. Almost like the one that ended my Wife's life (no wall she hit a tree and with a jeep not a rail)

Now that she survived is not all that surprising, Even as impressive as that crash was those cars have what is called a "Survival capsule" where the driver sits, it is designed to minimize injury if it can not prevent it.. Not 100% effective but there have been many crashes that for the family grocery getter would be like my wife's crash.. Fatal. .but only minor injury for those cars.

Still.. Best place to be when one crashes.. anywhere NOT inside the car, or crash area (Stands is good).
