In Command Travel Lockout HELP!!!!

We just bought a new RV with the In Command unit. We have unhooked the RV and leveled it, but our slide and our awning will not work, because our Iphones say we are on a travel lockout and each system says disabled without the option to enable it.

Can anyone help us?

One thing you might try is to RESTART the phone.. Sometimes phones get "Hung up"and neeed ye old REBOOT.

Sometmes a type on (Turn after recharging after battery dues)
Sometimes type two (Not sure how to do it on an I phone my Droid long press power and choose Restart)
Sometimes type 3 (Do you want to restart not/later)
Not many have type 4 (Hardware reset button) or if they do special tool needed.

Sometimes the only choice is type 5 (Steel toe boot)

I had the same problem on my Cougar 316RLS. Talked to the folks at InCommand and they were very helpful. Turn power off at the screen by holding the power button until the power off message comes up. Hold the power button down until you see a white flash and let go of the button. You should bypass the Travel Lockout message and go right to the login screen. You should be good to go at this point, but I found out that I needed to do a software update and that fixed the issue.

Good luck!

To perform a manual override look for the BCM "Body Control Module", it should be under the floor compartment, open it up and there should be a dial knob and momentary switch, just try them out (mine m1 is the slide and m5 the awning) hope this help until a solution has been found

Crandersen72 have you found a solution yet? I too have to disconnect all power to reset the control unit Every time I move.

Still in search of a more permanent solution, but I thought Iโ€™d share my work around for anyone who findable this thread while stuck with a closed up trailer on vacation like I was!

Disconnect from any power - hook ups, truck etc.
Engage battery disconnect on trailer.
There should be no power to the RV at this point.... wait a couple minutes.

Hook power back up - system should have reset and allow slide to work!

Did any of the jnCommand users find a solution to this? Im havig the same problem - after towing the Travel Lockout is enables. The DC wall unit inside however doesnt display its on or provide an unlock button, but awning/slide out read disabled. Only reason I know its Travel Lockout is that when i connect the phone, its shows there.

Thanks!

The same problem was discussed on the Montana Owners Club forum MOC and this is the answer:

Just remember, if the unit is moved, you will have to turn off the TRAVEL LOCK with the pad before your phones will work...that is a downside to the system, but I'm sure it has saved some people who've had things move in the unit.

We are having the same problem. Slides and awning show disabled and there is no lockout button. I downloaded the app but the travel lockout button is orange and wont let me push it. Has anyone found a solution for this?

Iโ€™m sorry that was no help. Looks like Customer Service isnโ€™t open until tomorrow.
Just a thought - Have you tried shutting down the app? Iโ€™m talking about double-clicking the home button and swiping up - not just closing the app.
The only other thing I can think to try would be to disconnect and then reconnect the battery.

We did that. The wall mount does not read Travel Lock but our phones do, which is not allowing the change.

Here is a link to a manual for the In-Command System. Page 9 has information about the Safety Lockout feature.
Hereโ€™s a paragraph from the manual that might help:

SAFETY LOCKOUT
IN-Command is equipped with a Safety Lockout feature to ensure certain system functions are unavailable during transit.
When the Brake or Right Turn Signal on the tow vehicle is activated, IN-Command will lock down all motorized functions. A red button, with Travel Lock in white text, will appear on the DC and mobile devices will display โ€œTravel Lock Onโ€ in red letters. All motor functions will cease to actuate and Disable will be written on their buttons.
The lights, water pump, water heater, and sensors will continue to function.
To turn the Travel Lock off, ensure 12VDC is not going to the Travel Lock system by removing the 7-way connector from the tow vehicle and press the โ€œUnlockโ€ button on the Display Commander inside the RV.
