Hubcap

I had 2 tires switched due abnormal ear, while on the road. Since then everytime I have put the left front hubcap on, I get a strange noise. Remove the hubcap no noise. I,have tried my rubber hammer to see I could bend it.
Any ideas!

Try a couple of wire/cable ties to snug the hubcap against the wheel itself.

Sometime the fake lug nuts if you have them, get loose then go fly off.
Mine have. Than the noise will stop.

Swap hubcaps. Move the noisy hubcap to the other side and see if the noise follows.

If so, you are ahead. If not, you are no worse off.

I had a similar problem with my driver's side rear hubcap. I found that at some point, likely when new tires were installed, the center of the hubcap which was riveted to the outer part, had the rivets broken. This allowed the center portion of the hubcap to "float" independently of the rest of the hubcap, making a lot of noise as it spun freely. Check to make sure your hubcap is solid.
