Back when I was running tow trucks, I once had a fellow threaten to "report me" when I refused to wade into a rushing stream and hook onto his car. The flooded stream had carried his car about 50 feet downstream from the road after he drove around a "Road Closed" barrier. I never found out who he was going to "report me" to though, since he was too busy by then trying to talk his way out of the "Failure to comply..." ticket the cop was writing. [emoticon]

You see stupid people drive into flooded area's on TV all the time. One gal drove around road blocks and cars parked sideways to block access to drive into a flooded underpass and had to be rescued.

Another guy pulled out of a motel parking lot, stop sign almost submerged and drives his truck into the water to float off and having to be rescued.

It is so bad in AZ that they had to pass a "Stupid Motorist Law" [emoticon]

Now I wish they would follow up with a "Stupid Hiker Law"

It is a shame that people want to push the envelope, some push it to far.
