Hope your wife feels better. That’s why we’re doing this early.... Never know what’s going to happen, and when. That’s where the exit plan comes in.

Cherish the wonderful memories you both have. May we be as fortunate to get as many years as you two have had.

See ya on the forum!

Arthritis results from inflammation. I hope you two can figure out if something in her diet (high fructose corn syrup and sugar, perhaps?) is causing the inflammation. Also I hope you'll read up on all the natural anti-inflammatory substances; maybe there's a combination of stuff (like Boswellia, Glucosamine/Condroitin/MSM, ginger, turmeric, willow bark, etc.) that would give her some relief. Sorry to hear that you aren't camping any more!

You can take the man out of the RV,
But you can't take the RV out of the man.

Best wishes to both of you as you start a new chapter in your lives. As others have suggested, keep active here and consider writing about your experiences, especially as a campground host. It could be very valuable for others considering such a challenge.

Best of luck to you! Back issues are painful. You do what you have to.

You didn't say where you're settling down but is there any place that just you can still volunteer near you that you can drive to daily or a few times a week? You have a lot to offer with your experience.
