Guadalajara Bypass SIGN

Last week, while heading south, we looked for the sign marking the Macrolibramiento Guadalajara. Nothing. We saw what we knew had to be the exit and took it. It was about 20 kilometers before we saw a sign that said it.

The exit onto the Macrolibramiento Guadajalara has a single sign: Zapotlanejo.

We know that many people will miss this come fall, and have to drag themselves through Guadalajara when they can take the beautiful, empty bypass.

Make a note of this, I'll try to repost it in October or so.

Yes and it is much appreciated. I stay away from Tapatioland, but will pass on your messages to any who ask.

Back in the mid sixties there were no signs anywhere. Because everyone knew where they stood.

It was only after searching and stumbling onto the right road to exit the city the a person would happen to stumble upon a tiny sign that with luck announced the next town that may or not appear on a Pemex road map.

The ONLY signs that could be counted on said MEXICO with an arrow.

Time to get this back up where everyone see it.

I'm keeping this alive so everyone knows about the lack of signage!

Better yet, someone will go by and remember to post the way to get on it!

Yes there is one,our friends took it after us going home. They also missed it but stopped and asked and turned around and it sounds like it was the exit we saw to barra/melaque.We will pay attention where we come out at this year after taking the exit after tequila, hopefully will be up on garmin

Going south last week we only made note of three places you could have entered the Macrolibramiento except for the beginning and end: One, whose name meant absolutely nothing to us, shortly after we got on that was listed as a cuota, the road to Colima, and the road to Chapala. Those are the only three that we remember/saw. It's possible the road up from Manzanillo doesn't have an entrance.

On our way home from Manzanillo we were heading toward Guadalajara with hopes of finding the turnoff. We saw a sign for barra/Melaqye which we think we should have taken . Certainly was not clear.Hopefully better signed or comes up on garmin next spring

We too were shocked at the lack of signage. We were looking and didn't even see where one had been, and in the past there were several.

There certainly was a very visible sign in March! Perhaps it has been removed or knocked down either by accident or vandalism !

For everyone’s information the Northern Exit is the First Exit to the right after you pass the City of Tequilla and yes it does point to Zapoltenajo.
