If GS actually shows up at all you are doing well.
Consider yourself lucky.

The simple answer is to change your tire.
Then you don't have to wait. You do not have to depend on strangers.
In a lot of the West there is no help so it becomes automatic.

"simple???" what if you are older, frailer, over the hill? when I got my first class A, the salesman pointed out that it came with a spare tire but no jack. there was a reason for that. if you are someplace where you need to wait longer than an hour and a half for service, perhaps????????

Maybe you should get a jack.
I broke my femur a few years ago and had a rod put in it.
I needed to change a tire on my horse trailer to send the mule that hurt me back where he came from. I changed the tire on one leg.

Get your hood up, 4-ways on, wave something white at oncoming traffic. MOST people I know will stop and render assistance when possible.

I've changed a LOT of tires and many of them were STUCK to the vehicle.

On one an officer brought me his big "break-in bar" when I requested a sledge when he showed up. Rain, dark, middle of no-where. My wife and daughter don't bat an eye because "it's what Dads do" [emoticon]
