Tennessee allows a ball connection to double tow with another ball connection.

Thanks!

So does Indiana. Seen it many times. It's weird when you see it, but legal here as long as it does not exceed a total length of 60 feet.

AZ allows it and you see it constantly in CO so I think it is fine here as well. I have not done to TAG's but a gooseneck and a TAG and it was a piece of cake. Watch your turns and make dang sure your tongue weights are good since getting any sway would be very hard to control I would think.

my understanding is Ontario requires the first hitch to be a 5th wheel

No, Ontario and the Western Provinces with the exception of BC allow it
In Ontario I seen it many times on HWY 17 on my way east to Thunderbay

Missing a post of mine for some reason.

Thanks for all of the replies .
I do know a lot of the states don't allow it.
I am going to use to pull 2.5 hours away on a minor
55 mph highway.
I was looking for some input and suggestions from those who have done this
Eventually will upgrade to a 5 th

Thanks

Idaho allows it and have done this. Not a big deal you have to remember that you are a lot longer than usual! Backing up is a little more complicated, but doable, just take your time. Good luck,Bill

Hate to say this but Arizona does not allow 2 trailers with a ball connection to be towed together. They do allow a 5th wheel first and then a ball type trailer to be towed behind it. Now they will not say anything about it if the trailer have out of state plates. If you have Arizona plates they will stop you.

I haven't done this as it is not legal in NY, but have seen many posts here that warn about adding a hitch to the back of a TT. First issue is weak bumpers, a frame mounted hitch is a must. Some mfg's have warnings against adding anything on their bumpers. So check with your mfg.

I believe the the only restriction is over all length in some states.

Towing 2 trailers with ball and ball linkage does little to take away from safety if the linkage if axle and sway braking is done right.
I have towed 1000s of miles from On. through Mb. to and throughout permitting states and back with a tow length of 75' many times with a 32' TT, a 20 i/o runabout behind a srw 1 ton truck
braking is key, each should have a bit more braking power than the preceeding.
The laws of most Cdn. provinces and many US states permit ' ball and ball' combination towing within length and braking restrictions.
The drivers skill level is key second to equipment. Doubles towing is not for novices.
Get professional training , set your equipment up well. then enjoy!
