What are all of you using to lock your king pin when parked? Thanks!

I use this one King Pin Lock but although it works fine, I don't like that you have to keep turning the key to lock/unlock it. Kind of a pain in the neck.

I have that one as well. I've come to realize that life gets easier if you twist the side opposite the key and just hold the key steady. ๐Ÿ™‚

I used the same lock as Helmsey. Probably more important than the king pin lock was replacing the exterior storage locks with CH751 key with some nicer cam locks. Theft of items in the storage compartments while the camper is in storage is probably more common.

I have used the same one that ependydad listed for the last 10 years....even in my own yard.

It takes, what, 5-8 seconds to put on.

I use a simple king pin lock when it's in storage and unattended:

But a pin lock is a lot less then a deductible. And a whole lot less
trouble. Just a thought.

We used one of these on our semi-trailer in the mid-โ€˜90โ€™s, and have continued to use them on our 5erโ€™s. Nothing will stop a determined thief.....but this may send him/her ( notice how politically correct) to โ€œgreener pasturesโ€!

I have a king pin lock and only use it when I feel the need. Typically when stored. I had a storage place that was less than desirable. Someone broke into the front compartment but didn't take anything and another time they attempted to steal my awning and hardware. Needless to say I'm no longer there. I think theft of articles is a lot more common then the actual theft of the 5th wheel.

Go to sBay and search on king pin lock. There are many differat brands.

Good luck!
