Carpet suggestions/experiences

My coach came with the carpet removed as the original owner had pooches. The dinette area remained carpeted as well as the front cab. The color shows each and every minor oops either from snacking or dirty feet. I want to remove the carpet, install heat shield under the cab area and choose a thinner pile . Maybe something in between the present carpet and indoor/outdoor pile height wise.
The original owner cut out some floor mats to go under the original mats using I/O carpet and my floor doesn't get as warm as others.

We just installed vinyl flooring planks, about $3/SF. Water resistant, cleans easier, and a variety of colors to suit your preference. We'll probably add a runner down the aisle to reduce the dust on your feet.
