Solar panel install over vent pipe??

Has anyone installed there panels raised up 6"? I wondering if i install them over gray tank vent will it hurt anything?

Good point about draft. (See-Chimney effect) I don't know if the panel over it would change the air pressure above the vent on the roof

Keep a little space between them. It's just about drafting on the pipe. I wouldn't be surprised if you smelled it at times if you go up there but it's not going to hurt anything. If you have a roof vent open there may be times when you smell it but it will just depend on the breeze. My pipe isn't covered but every now and then the wind blows just the right way and I smell it.

Make it easy to access it.

I have a set of panels in a wooden tray thing I made so they lie over the fridge vent and half the shower room skylight. Can't see why it would matter if there were a tank vent under there too.

I don't have enough clear roof space for panels, so I just have them over stuff (except Max air covers)
